काश्चिदूचुरिति प्रेम्णा राधिकायां हरिं मुने
Some, out of love for Rādhikā, spoke to Hari, O sage.
काश्चिदित्यूचुरीशं च परिहासपरं वचः
Some said to the Lord words filled with playful mockery.
काश्चनोचुरिति हरिं सस्मितं पुरतः स्थितम् 4.3.
Some spoke to Hari, who stood before them, smiling.
काश्चनोचुरिति प्राणनाथं गोप्यो दुरक्षरम्
Some gopīs spoke indistinct words to their beloved Lord.
काश्चनोचुरिति विभुं व्रज स्थानांतरं हरे
Some said to the all-pervading Hari, 'Go to another place in Vraja.'
काश्चनोचुरितीदं तं प्रगल्भाः प्रमदोत्तमाः
Some bold and foremost women spoke these words to him.
काश्चिन्निवारयामासुर्माधवं प्रमदोत्तमाः
Some of the foremost women tried to restrain Mādhava.
गोपीर्भिर्वार्यमाणे च जगत्कारणकारणे
While the gopīs tried to restrain him, who is the cause of the cause of the universe—
कोपादुवाच श्रीदामा राधिकां परमेश्वरीम्
Out of anger, Śrīdāmā spoke to Rādhikā, the supreme goddess.
विचारणां विना देवि करोषि भर्त्सनं वृथा
'Without any inquiry, O goddess, you rebuke in vain.'
ब्रह्मानंतेशदेवेशं जगत्कारणकारणम्
'He is the Lord of Brahmā, Ananta, and Śiva, the cause of the cause of the world.'
यस्य पादार्चनेनैव सर्वेषामीश्वरी परा 4.3.
By worshipping whose feet, the supreme goddess of all becomes sovereign—
भ्रूभंगलीलया कृष्णः स्रष्टुं शक्तश्च त्वद्विधाः
With a playful movement of his brow, Kṛṣṇa is able to create beings like you.
वैकुंठे श्रीहरेरस्य चरणांबुजमार्जनम्
In Vaikuṇṭha, the service is to wash the lotus feet of Śrī Hari.
सरस्वती च स्तवनैः कर्णपीयूषसुंदरैः
And Sarasvati, with praises sweet as nectar to the ears,
भीता च प्रकृतिर्माया सर्वेषां बीजरूपिणी
Prakriti, the power of illusion, fearful, the seed-form of all beings,
स्तुवंति सततं वेदा महिम्नः षोडशीं कलाम्
The Vedas constantly praise the sixteenth part of her greatness,
वक्त्रैश्चतुर्भिर्यं ब्रह्मा वेदानां जनको विभुः
Brahma, the lord, creator of the Vedas, with his four faces,
शंकरः पंचभिर्वक्त्रैः स्तौति यं योगिनां गुरुः
Shankara, the guru of yogis, praises her with his five faces,
शेषः सहस्रवदनैः परमात्मानमीश्वरम्
Shesha, with a thousand mouths, praises the Supreme Self, the Lord,
धर्मःपाता च सर्वेषां साक्षी च जगतां पतिः
Dharma and Patā, the witness of all, the lord of the worlds,
श्वेतद्वीपनिवासी यः पाता विष्णुः स्वयं विभुः 4.3.
He who dwells in Svetadvipa, Vishnu himself, the all-pervading Lord,
सुरासुरमुनींद्राश्च मनवो मानवा बुधाः
The gods, asuras, great sages, Manus, men, and the wise,
क्षिप्रं रोषं परित्यज्य भज पादांबुजं हरेः
Quickly abandon anger and worship the lotus feet of Hari,
निमेषमात्रादस्यैव ब्रह्मणः पतनं भवेत्
In but a moment, even Brahma can fall from his position,
एवमष्टोत्तरशतमायुर्यस्य जगद्विधेः
Thus, the lifespan of the creator of the world is one hundred and eight years,
श्रीदाम्नो वचनं श्रुत्वा केवलं कटुमुज्ज्वलम्
Hearing the words of Sridama, which were only harsh and blazing,
रासेश्वरी बहिर्गत्वा तमुवाच ह निष्ठुरम्
The queen of the rasa, going outside, spoke to him harshly,
रेरे जाल्म महामूढ शृणु लॆपटकिंकर
Hey, wretch, great fool, listen, you servant of the wicked,
त्वदीश्वरश्च श्रीकृष्णो न ह्यस्माकं व्रजाधम
Your lord is Sri Krishna, not ours, O lowest of Vraja,
