He saw Kārttikeya on the left and Gaṇeśvara on the right.
O Nārada, there were chief attendants and guardians of the domain.
Bhṛgu, mighty in strength and valor, spoke with them swiftly.
As he was going, Gaṇeśa said to him, 'Wait a moment.'
Having received the command of the Lord, I came here in an instant.
Hearing the words of Ganesha, Parashurama, mighty in strength, listened.
Thus, in the third section of the Brahmavaivarta Mahapurana, in the Ganapati Khanda, in the dialogue between Narada and Narayana, the forty-first chapter named 'Description of Kailasa' concludes.
Parashurama said: Bowing to my mother with devotion, I shall quickly return home.
Having effortlessly made the earth devoid of kings twenty-one times,
From whom I have obtained various kinds of knowledge and rare weapons,
Who is both with attributes and without attributes, whose form is the grace bestowed upon devotees,
Who is made of his own will, an ocean of compassion, friend of the humble, lord of sages,
Creator of both the higher and lower beings, honored by Indra,
The auspiciousness of all that is auspicious, the cause of all auspiciousness,
Quick to be pleased, with a cheerful face, affectionate toward those who seek refuge,
Thus Parashurama stood, having spoken, before Ganesha.
Wait a moment, wait a moment, listen, brother, to these words.
The lowest among men is he who sees a man together with a woman,
Especially his father, teacher, lord of beings, or a twice-born,
A wise person should not see anyone engaged in secret intercourse,
For him, separation from women will surely occur for seven births; even if deluded by desire, he certainly becomes blind.
Hearing the words of Ganesha, the son of Bhrigu laughed.
Paraśurāma said: This, indeed, I have not heard spoken from the mouth of the Lord.
I have heard this statement in the scriptures, concerning those who are passionate and subject to change. I will go to your inner chambers, brother; why do you remain, child?
As I see fit, I will act according to my purpose and the proper time.
Those two, Pārvatī and the Supreme Lord, are the parents of the worlds.
Śaṅkara is of all forms, and Pārvatī is of all forms as well.
Play, shame, and fear of reproach belong only to the worldly, not to the Lord.
Whence is shame for the embodiment of shame? And for the Lord of shame, from where does it arise?
Cold and coldness, O brother, and heat and burning—how can these affect Him?
