आकीर्णं पुष्पजालैश्च पुष्पितैश्च सुगन्धिभिः 3.41.
Filled with garlands of flowers and blooming, fragrant blossoms.
सिद्धविद्यासु निपुणैः पुण्यवद्भिर्निषेवितम्
Attended by the virtuous, skilled in accomplished knowledge.
शतयोजनविस्तीर्णैः शतस्कन्धसमन्वितैः
Expansive for a hundred yojanas, with a hundred clusters together.
नानापक्षिगणाकीर्णैः सुमनोहरशब्दितैः
Teeming with flocks of various birds, producing most delightful sounds.
पुष्पोद्यानसहस्रेण सरसां च शतेन च
With a thousand flower gardens and a hundred lakes.
रामश्च दृष्ट्वा नगरमतिसंहृष्टमानसः
And Rāma, seeing the city, became exceedingly delighted in mind.
सुवर्णमूल्यशतकैर्मणिभिः स्वर्णवर्णकैः
With jewels worth hundreds of gold coins, shining with the color of gold,
त्रिपञ्चयोजनोच्छ्रायं चतुर्योजनविस्तृतम्
Rising to a height of fifteen yojanas and spreading four yojanas wide,
द्वारं रत्नकपाटेन नाना चित्रान्वितेन च
A door with a jeweled panel, adorned with various designs,
तद्दक्षिणे वृषेन्द्रं च वामे सिंहं च नारद
On its right, O Nārada, was a great bull; on its left, a lion.
विशालाक्षं च बाणं च विरूपाक्षं महाबलम् 3.41.
There were also Viśālākṣa, Bāṇa, and the mighty Virūpākṣa.
संहारभैरवं कालभैरवं च भयङ्करम्
There stood Saṃhārabhairava and the fearsome Kālabhairava,
कृष्णाङ्गभैरवं चैव क्रोधभैरवमुल्बणम्
And also Kṛṣṇāṅgabhairava and the fierce Krodhabhairava.
सिद्धेंद्रादीन्रुद्रगणान्विद्याधरसुगुह्यकान्
There were Siddha chiefs, Rudra hosts, Vidyādharas, and noble Guhyakas.
वेतालान्दानवांश्चैव योगीन्द्रांश्च जटाधरान्
There were also Vetālas, Dānavas, and ascetic Yogis with matted hair.
तान्दृष्ट्वा नन्दिकेशाज्ञां गृहीत्वा भृगुनन्दनः
Seeing them, the son of Bhṛgu received Nandikeśa's command.
रत्नेन्द्रसारखचितं ददर्श शतमन्दिरम्
He beheld a hundred mansions inlaid with the finest jewels.
अमूल्यरत्नरचितैर्मुक्तानिर्म्मलदर्पणैः
Made with priceless gems and pure, spotless mirrors of pearls,
गोरोचनाभिर्मणिभिर्युतं स्तम्भसहस्रकैः
Adorned with yellow pigment, jewels, and a thousand pillars.
ददर्शाभ्यन्तरं द्वारं नानाचित्रैश्च चित्रितम्
He saw an inner doorway decorated with various designs.
ददर्श कार्त्तिकेयं च वामे दक्षे गणेश्वरम् 3.41.
He saw Kārttikeya on the left and Gaṇeśvara on the right.
प्रधानपार्षदगणान्क्षेत्रपालांश्च नारद
O Nārada, there were chief attendants and guardians of the domain.
तान्सम्भाष्य भृगुः शीघ्रं महाबलपराक्रमः
Bhṛgu, mighty in strength and valor, spoke with them swiftly.
गच्छन्तं तं गणेशश्च क्षणं तिष्ठेत्युवाच ह
As he was going, Gaṇeśa said to him, 'Wait a moment.'
ईश्वराज्ञां गृहीत्वाऽहमत्रागत्य क्षणान्तरे
Having received the command of the Lord, I came here in an instant.
गणेशवाक्यं परशुरामश्श्रुत्वा महाबलः
Hearing the words of Ganesha, Parashurama, mighty in strength, listened.
इति श्रीब्रह्मवैवर्त्ते महापुराणे तृतीये गणपतिखण्डे नारदनारायणसंवादे कैलासवर्णनं नामैकचत्वारिंशत्तमोऽध्यायः
Thus, in the third section of the Brahmavaivarta Mahapurana, in the Ganapati Khanda, in the dialogue between Narada and Narayana, the forty-first chapter named 'Description of Kailasa' concludes.
परशुराम उवाच प्रणम्य मातरं भक्त्या यास्यामि त्वरितं गृहम्
Parashurama said: Bowing to my mother with devotion, I shall quickly return home.
त्रिस्सप्तकृत्वो निर्भूपां कृत्वा पृथ्वीं च लीलया
Having effortlessly made the earth devoid of kings twenty-one times,
नानाविद्या यतो लब्धा नानाशस्त्रं सुदुर्लभम्
From whom I have obtained various kinds of knowledge and rare weapons,
