मनोहरं दिव्यतल्पं कस्तूर्यगरुचन्दनैः
A delightful divine bed, adorned with musk, agarwood, and sandal paste.
ततः षडंगं सम्पूज्य पश्चात्स म्पूजयेद्गणम्
Then, having worshipped the six limbs, afterwards one should worship the retinue.
हरिभानुं चन्द्रभानुं सूर्य्यभानुं सुभानुकम्
Haribhānu, Candrabhānu, Sūryabhānu, and Subhānuka.
गोपीश्वरीं राधिकां च मूलप्रकृतिमीश्वरीम् 3.32.
The queen of the cowherd women, Rādhikā, the primal nature, the supreme goddess.
गोपगोपीगणं शान्तं मां ब्रह्माणं च पार्वतीम्
The peaceful assembly of cowherds and cowherd women, myself, Brahmā, and Pārvatī.
देवषट्कं समभ्यर्च्य पुनः पञ्चोपचारतः
Having worshipped the six gods, again with five offerings.
गणेशं च दिनेशं च वह्निं विष्णुं शिवं शिवाम्
Ganesha, the sun, fire, Vishnu, Shiva, and the auspicious goddess.
गणेशं विघ्ननाशाय व्याधिनाशाय भास्करम्
Ganesha for the removal of obstacles, Bhāskara for the destruction of disease.
ज्ञानाय शङ्करं दुर्गां परमैश्व र्य्यहेतवे
Shankara for knowledge, Durgā for the attainment of supreme sovereignty.
ततः कृत्वा परीहारमिष्टदेवं च भक्तितः
Then, having performed the dismissal, one should worship the chosen deity with devotion.
महादेव उवाच निर्लिप्तं परमात्मानं नमाम्यखिलकारणम्
Mahādeva said: I bow to the Supreme Self, untouched, the cause of all.
स्थूलात्स्थूलतमं देवं सूक्ष्मात्सूक्ष्मतमं परम्
The deity who is grosser than the gross, subtler than the subtle, and supreme.
साकारं च निराकारं सगुणं निर्गुणं प्रभुम्
With form and without form, with qualities and without qualities, the Lord.
अतीव कमनीयं च रूपं निरुपमं विभुम् 3.32.
His form is exceedingly beautiful, incomparable, and all-pervading.
कर्म्मणः कर्मरूपं तं साक्षिणं सर्वकर्मणः
He is the form of action itself, the witness of all deeds.
स्रष्टा पाता च संहर्ता कलया मूर्तिभेदतः
By his portion and by difference of forms, he is the creator, the sustainer, and the destroyer.
स्वयं प्रकृतिरूपश्च मायया च स्वयं पुमान्
He himself is of the nature of Prakriti, and by his own Māyā, he is the Purusha.
स्त्रीपुन्नपुंसकं रूपं यो बिभर्ति स्वमायया
By his own Māyā, he bears the forms of woman, man, and the neuter.
तारकं सर्वदुःखानां सर्वकारणकारणम्
He is the deliverer from all sorrows, the cause of all causes.
तेजस्विनां रविर्यो हि सर्वजातिषु वाडवः
Among the radiant, he is the sun; among all species, he is the submarine fire.
रुद्राणां वैष्णवानां च ज्ञानिनां यो हि शङ्करः
Among the Rudras and the Vaishnavas, and among the wise, he is Shankara.
प्रजापतीनां यो ब्रह्मा सिद्धानां कपिलः स्वयम्
Among the progenitors, he is Brahmā; among the perfected ones, he is Kapila himself.
देवानां यो हि विष्णुश्च देवीनां प्रकृतिः स्वयम् नारीणां शतरूपा च बहुरूपं नमाम्यहम्
Among the gods, he is indeed Vishnu; among the goddesses, he is Prakriti herself; among women, he is Shatarupa; I bow to the one of many forms.
ऋतूनां यो वसन्तश्च मासानां मार्गशीर्षकः 3.32.
Among the seasons, he is Spring; among the months, he is Margashirsha.
सागरः सरितां यश्च पर्वतानां हिमालयः
Among rivers, he is the ocean; among mountains, the Himalaya.
पत्राणां तुलसीपत्रं दारुरूपेषु चन्दनम्
Among leaves, he is the leaf of Tulasi; among woods, he is sandalwood.
पुष्पाणां पारिजातश्च सस्यानां धान्यमेव च
Among flowers, he is Parijata; among grains, he is rice.
ऐरावतो गजेन्द्राणां वैनतेयश्च पक्षिणाम्
Among lordly elephants, he is Airavata; among birds, he is Garuda.
तैजसानां सुवर्णं च धान्यानां यव एव च
Among things of brilliance, he is gold; among grains, he is barley.
यक्षाणां च कुबेरो यो ग्रहाणां च बृहस्पतिः
Among the Yakshas, he is Kubera; among the planets, he is Brihaspati.
