अन्यानि परिपक्वानि कालदेशोद्भवानि च
She gave other fully ripened fruits, produced according to time and place.
स्वच्छं सुनिर्मलं चैव कर्पूरादिसुवासितम्
She offered pure, spotless water, fragrant with camphor and other scents.
ताम्बूलं च वरं रम्यं कर्पूरादिसुवासितम्
And betel leaves, excellent and delightful, fragrant with camphor and other scents.
शैलराजप्रिया मात्याः पुपूजुः शैलजात्मजम्
The beloved daughter of the mountain, together with her mother, worshipped the son of the mountain.
ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं क्लीं गणेश्वराय ब्रह्मरूपाय चारवे
Om śrīṃ hrīṃ klīṃ, to Lord Gaṇeśa, embodiment of Brahman, the beautiful one—
इत्यनेनैव मन्त्रेण दत्त्वा द्रव्याणि भक्तितः
With this very mantra, offering the substances with devotion—
द्वात्रिंशदक्षरो मालामन्त्रोऽयं सर्वकामद
This thirty-two-syllable garland-mantra grants all desires.
पञ्चलक्षजपेनैव मन्त्रसिद्धिस्तु मन्त्रिणः
By reciting it five hundred thousand times, the practitioner attains perfection of the mantra.
विघ्नानि च पलायन्ते तन्नामस्मरणेन च
Obstacles flee away by the remembrance of his name.
वाक्पतिर्गुरुतां याति तस्य साक्षात्सुनिश्चितम्
He surely attains eloquence and greatness, without doubt.
संपूज्यानेन मन्त्रेण देवा आनन्दसंप्लुताः
Worshipped with this mantra, the gods are filled with bliss.
ब्राह्मणान्भोजयामासुः कारयामासुरुत्सवम्
They fed the brāhmaṇas and held a festival.
नारायण उवाच तुष्टाव परया भक्त्या सर्वविघ्नविनाशकम्
Nārāyaṇa said: With supreme devotion, he praised the destroyer of all obstacles.
ईश त्वां स्तोतुमिच्छामि ब्रह्मज्योतिः सनातनम्
Lord, I wish to praise you, the eternal light of Brahman.
प्रवरं सर्वदेवानां सिद्धानां योगिनां गुरुम्
The foremost among all gods, the guru of siddhas and yogis.
अव्यक्तमक्षरं नित्यं सत्यमात्मस्वरूपिणम्
The unmanifest, imperishable, eternal, the true form of the Self.
संसारार्णवपारे च मायापोते सुदुर्लभे
On the far shore of the ocean of worldly existence, in the most rare boat of māyā.
वरं वरेण्यं वरदं वरदानामपीश्वरम्
The bestower of boons, the most excellent, the giver of blessings, the lord even of those who grant boons.
ध्यानातिरिक्तं ध्येयं च ध्यानासाध्यं च धार्मिकम्
The object of meditation beyond meditation, unattainable by meditation, righteous.
बीजं संसारवृक्षाणामंकुरं च तदाश्रयम्
The seed of the trees of worldly existence, the sprout, and their support.
सर्वाद्यमग्रपूज्यं च सर्वपूज्यं गुणार्णवम्
The one who is the origin of all, worthy of the foremost worship, revered by all, an ocean of virtues.
न क्षमः पञ्चवक्त्रश्च न क्षमश्चतुराननः न शक्ताश्च चतुर्वेदाः के वा ते वेदवादिनः
Neither the five-faced one nor the four-faced one is capable, nor are the four Vedas able; who then are those who speak of the Vedas?
इत्येवं स्तवनं कृत्वा मुनीशसुरसंसदि
Thus, having offered this praise in the assembly of sages and gods,
इदं विष्णुकृतं स्तोत्रं गणेशस्य च यः पठेत्
Whoever recites this hymn to Ganesha, composed by Vishnu,
तद्विघ्ननाशं कुरुते विघ्नेशः सततं मुने
O sage, the remover of obstacles always destroys obstacles for him.
यात्राकाले पठित्वा यो याति तद्भक्तिपूर्वकम्
Whoever recites it at the time of departure, with devotion,
तेन दृष्टं च दुस्स्वप्नं सुस्वप्नमुपजायते
For him, any bad dream seen becomes a good dream.
भवेद्विनाशः शत्रूणां बन्धूनां चापि वर्द्धनम्
There will be destruction of enemies and increase of friends.
स्थिरा भवेद्गृहे लक्ष्मीः पुत्रपौत्रविवर्द्धनम्
Lakshmi will remain steadily in his house, and there will be growth of sons and grandsons.
फलं चापि च तीर्थानां यज्ञानां यद्भवेद्ध्रुवम्
And he attains the certain fruit of pilgrimages and sacrifices.
