सिद्धासनं ददौ धर्मस्तस्मै ब्रह्मा कमण्डलुम्
Dharma gave him the seat of accomplishment; Brahmā gave him the water-pot.
रत्नसिंहासनं शक्रः सूर्य्यश्च मणिकुण्डले
Indra gave him a throne of jewels; Sūrya gave him jeweled earrings.
वह्निशुद्धं च वसनं ददौ तस्मै हुताशनः
Agni gave him purified garments.
क्षीरोदोद्भवसद्रत्नरचितं वलयं वरम्
He gave him a splendid bracelet made of excellent gems from the ocean of milk.
कण्ठभूषां च सावित्री भारती हारमुज्ज्वलम्
Savitri became the ornament for the neck, and Bharati the radiant necklace.
मुनयः पर्वताश्चैव रत्नानि विविधानि च
The sages, the mountains, and various kinds of jewels also appeared.
क्रमेण देवा देव्यश्च मुनयः पर्वतादयः
In due order, the gods, goddesses, sages, mountains, and others came forth.
नानाविधानि द्रव्याणि स्वादूनि मधुराणि च
Various kinds of substances, sweet and delightful, were presented.
पार्वती जगतां माता स्मेराननसरोरुहा
Parvati, the mother of the worlds, whose lotus face was smiling,
सर्वतीर्थोदकै रत्नकलशावर्जितैः स्तुतैः अग्निशुद्धे च वसने ददौ तस्मै सती मुदा
With waters from all sacred places, praised in jeweled pitchers, and with garments purified by fire, Sati joyfully gave them to him.
गोदावर्युदकैः पाद्यमर्घ्यं गंगोदकेन च
She offered water for washing the feet with Godavari water, and arghya with water from the Ganga.
पुष्करोदकमानीय पुनराचमनीयकम्
She brought water from Pushkara for sipping and purification.
पारिजातप्रसूनानामन्येषां शतकानि च पूजार्हाणि च पत्राणि तुलसीसहितानि च
Hundreds of parijata flowers and others, as well as leaves worthy of worship, together with tulasi, were offered.
चन्दनागुरुकस्तूरी कुंकुमानि च सादरम्
With reverence, she presented sandalwood, aguru, kasturi, and saffron.
नैवेद्यं तत्प्रियं चैव तिललड्डुकपर्वतान्
She offered the beloved food, including mountains of sesame sweets.
पक्वान्नानां पर्वताश्च सुस्वादुसुमनोहरान्
She gave mountains of various cooked foods, delicious and pleasing.
गुडाक्तानां च लाजानां पृथुकानां च पर्वतान् पयोभृत्कलशानां च लक्षाणि प्रददौ मुदा
With joy, she gave hundreds of thousands of heaps of fried grains mixed with jaggery, heaps of flattened rice, and pitchers filled with milk.
लक्षाणि दधिपूर्णानां कलशानां च पूजने
She gave hundreds of thousands of pitchers filled with curd for the worship.
सर्पिस्सुवर्णकुम्भानां पंचलक्षाणि सादरम्
With respect, she gave five hundred thousand golden pots filled with ghee.
खर्जूराणां कपित्थानां जम्बूनां विविधानि च । फलानि नारिकेलानामसंख्यानि ददौ मुदा
With joy, she gave countless dates, wood apples, rose apples, and various other fruits, as well as coconuts.
अन्यानि परिपक्वानि कालदेशोद्भवानि च
She gave other fully ripened fruits, produced according to time and place.
स्वच्छं सुनिर्मलं चैव कर्पूरादिसुवासितम्
She offered pure, spotless water, fragrant with camphor and other scents.
ताम्बूलं च वरं रम्यं कर्पूरादिसुवासितम्
And betel leaves, excellent and delightful, fragrant with camphor and other scents.
शैलराजप्रिया मात्याः पुपूजुः शैलजात्मजम्
The beloved daughter of the mountain, together with her mother, worshipped the son of the mountain.
ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं क्लीं गणेश्वराय ब्रह्मरूपाय चारवे
Om śrīṃ hrīṃ klīṃ, to Lord Gaṇeśa, embodiment of Brahman, the beautiful one—
इत्यनेनैव मन्त्रेण दत्त्वा द्रव्याणि भक्तितः
With this very mantra, offering the substances with devotion—
द्वात्रिंशदक्षरो मालामन्त्रोऽयं सर्वकामद
This thirty-two-syllable garland-mantra grants all desires.
पञ्चलक्षजपेनैव मन्त्रसिद्धिस्तु मन्त्रिणः
By reciting it five hundred thousand times, the practitioner attains perfection of the mantra.
विघ्नानि च पलायन्ते तन्नामस्मरणेन च
Obstacles flee away by the remembrance of his name.
वाक्पतिर्गुरुतां याति तस्य साक्षात्सुनिश्चितम्
He surely attains eloquence and greatness, without doubt.
