धौते च वाससी धृत्वा ह्युपविश्यासने शुचौ
Having worn washed garments, and sitting on a clean seat,
घटं संस्थाप्य विधिवत्स्वस्तिवाचनपूर्वकम्
Placing the pot properly, and after reciting auspicious words,
सङ्कल्पं वेदविहितं व्रतमेतत्समाचरेत्
One should undertake this vow with the resolve prescribed by the Vedas.
देयानि नित्यं देवेशि कृष्णाय परमात्मने
O goddess of the gods, these should always be given to Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Soul:
स्नानीयं मधुपर्कं च वस्त्राण्याभरणानि च
Bathing water, madhuparka, garments, and ornaments,
यज्ञसूत्रं च ताम्बूलं कर्पूरादिसुवासितम्
A sacred thread, betel, and fragrant substances like camphor,
देवि किञ्चिद्विहीनेन चाङ्गहानिः प्रजायते अंगहीने च कार्य्ये च फलहानिः प्रजायते
O goddess, if anything is lacking, there is a defect in the rite; and if the rite is defective, the result is lost.
अष्टोत्तरशतं पुष्पं पारिजातस्य विष्णवे
One hundred and eight flowers of pārijāta should be offered to Viṣṇu.
श्वेतचम्पकपुष्पाणां लक्षमक्षतमीप्सितम्
A hundred thousand unbroken white campaka flowers, as desired.
सहस्रपत्रपद्मानामक्षतं लक्षकं तथा
And likewise, a hundred thousand unbroken thousand-petaled lotuses.
अमूल्यरत्नरचितं दर्पणानां सहस्रकम्
A thousand mirrors fashioned from priceless jewels.
नीलोत्पलानां लक्षं च देयं कृष्णाय भक्तितः
A hundred thousand blue lotuses should be offered to Krishna with devotion.
हिमालयोद्भवं लक्षं रुचिरं श्वेतचामरम्
A hundred thousand beautiful white yak-tail fans, produced from the Himalayas.
अमूल्यरत्नरचितं पुटकानां सहस्रकम्
A thousand boxes made from priceless jewels.
बन्धूकपुष्पलक्षं च देयं राधेश्वराय च
A hundred thousand bandhūka flowers should also be given to the Lord of Rādhā.
मुक्ताफलानां लक्षं च दन्तसौन्दर्यहेतवे
A hundred thousand pearls for the sake of dental beauty.
रत्नगण्डूषलक्षं च गण्डसौन्दर्य्यहेतवे
A hundred thousand jewel mouth-rinses for the sake of the beauty of the cheeks.
रत्नपाशकलक्षं च देयं ब्रह्मेश्वराय च
A hundred thousand jewel nooses should also be given to the Lord of Brahmā.
कर्णभूषणलक्षं च रत्नसारविनिर्म्मितम्
A hundred thousand ear-ornaments, fashioned from the essence of jewels.
माध्वीककलशानां च लक्षं रत्नविनिर्म्मितम्
A hundred thousand honey-jars, made from jewels.
सुधापूर्णं च कुम्भानां सहस्रं रत्ननिर्म्मितम्
A thousand jewel-crafted pitchers, filled with nectar.
रत्नप्रदीपलक्षं च गोपवेषविधायिने
A hundred thousand jewel lamps for the one who assumes the guise of a cowherd.
धत्तूरकुसुमाकारं रत्नपात्रसहस्रकम्
A thousand jewel vessels shaped like dhattūra flowers.
सद्रत्नसाररचितं पद्मनालसहस्रकम्
A thousand lotus-stalks crafted from the finest jewels.
लक्षं च रक्तपद्मानां करसौन्दर्यहेतवे
A hundred thousand red lotuses for the sake of the beauty of the hands.
अंगुलीयकलक्षं च रत्नसारविनिर्म्मितम्
A hundred thousand rings, fashioned from the essence of jewels.
मणीन्द्रसारलक्षं च श्वेतवर्णं मनोहरम्
A hundred thousand foremost jewels, white in color and captivating to behold.
सद्रत्नसारहाराणां लक्षं चातिमनोहरम्
A hundred thousand exceedingly beautiful necklaces made of excellent gems.
सुपक्वश्रीफलानां च लक्षं च सुमनोहरम्
A hundred thousand perfectly ripened śrīphala fruits, most delightful.
सद्रत्नवर्तुलाकारपत्रलशं मनोहरम्
Beautiful, round-shaped leaves made of excellent gems.
