अन्धकारे भयहरममूल्यमणिशोभितम् ।। रत्नप्रदीपं शोभाढयं गृहाण परमेश्वरि
O Supreme Lady, accept this radiant jewel-lamp, adorned with priceless gems, which dispels fear in darkness.
पारिजातप्रसूनं च गन्धचन्दनचर्चितम्
And also this pārijāta flower, anointed with fragrant sandalwood paste.
सुगन्धामलकीचूर्णं सुस्निग्धं सुमनोहरम्
Here is the powder of fragrant amalaki, very smooth and most delightful.
अमूल्यरत्नखचितं केयूरवलयादिकम्
Take these armlets and bangles, inlaid with priceless jewels.
कालदेशोद्भवं पक्वफलं वै लड्डुकादिकम्
Here are ripe fruits and sweets like laḍḍukas, produced according to time and place.
ताम्बूलं च वरं रम्यं कर्पूरादिसुवासितम्
And this excellent, charming betel leaf, sweetly scented with camphor and other fragrances.
अशनं रत्नपात्रस्थं सुस्वादु सुमनोहरम्
Here is delicious and delightful food, served in a jewel-encrusted vessel.
रत्नेन्द्रसारखचितं वह्निशुद्धांशुकान्वितम् ।। पुष्पचन्दनचर्चाढ्यं पर्य्यंकं देवि गृह्यताम्
O Goddess, accept this couch, adorned with the essence of the best jewels, covered with fire-purified cloth, and enriched with flowers and sandalwood paste.
एवं संपूज्य देवीं तां दद्यात्पुष्पाञ्जलित्रयम्
Having thus worshipped the Goddess, one should offer three handfuls of flowers.
प्रागादिक्रमयोगेन दक्षिणावर्ततः प्रिये 2.55.
Dearest, this should be done in order from the east, moving in a rightward (clockwise) direction.
मालावतीं पूर्वकोणे वह्निकोणे च माधवीम्
Place the mālāvatī flower in the northeast, and the mādhavī flower in the southeast corner.
पश्चिमे वै शशिकलां पारिजातां च मारुते
In the west, place the śaśikalā flower, and the pārijāta in the northwest.
यूथिकामालतीपद्ममाला दद्याद् व्रते व्रती
During the vow, the devotee should offer garlands of yūthikā, mālatī, and lotus flowers.
त्वं देवी जगतां माता विष्णुमाया सनातनी
You are the Goddess, the eternal mother of the worlds, the primordial energy of Viṣṇu.
कृष्णप्रेममयी शक्तिः कृष्णे सौभाग्यरूपिणी
You are the power composed of Kṛṣṇa's love, the very form of good fortune in Kṛṣṇa.
अद्य मे सफलं जन्म जीवनं सार्थकं मम
Today my birth is fulfilled, my life has become meaningful.
कृष्णवक्षसि या राधा सर्वसौभाग्यसंयुता
She who is Rādhā on Kṛṣṇa's chest, endowed with all good fortune—
कृष्णप्रिया च गोलोके तुलसीकानने तु या
And who is Kṛṣṇa's beloved in Goloka, and in the grove of Tulasī—
चन्द्रावली चन्द्रवने शतशृंगे सतीति च
Candrāvalī is in Candravana, and Satyā is on Śataśṛṅga.
पद्मावती पद्मवने कृष्णा कृष्णसरोवरे 2.55.
Padmāvatī is in Padmavana, and Kṛṣṇā is at Kṛṣṇasarovara.
वैकुण्ठे च महालक्ष्मीर्वाणी नारायणोरसि
In Vaikuṇṭha, Mahālakṣmī is present, and Vāṇī is on the chest of Nārāyaṇa.
सर्वस्वर्गे स्वर्गलक्ष्मीर्देवदुःखविनाशिनी
In all the heavens, Svargalakṣmī is there, the goddess who destroys the sorrows of the gods.
सावित्री वेदमाता च कलया ब्रह्मवक्षसि
Sāvitrī, the mother of the Vedas, by her portion, is on the chest of Brahmā.
कलया तुलसी त्वं च गङ्गा भुवनपावनी
By a portion, you are Tulasī, and Gaṅgā, the purifier of the worlds.
कला कलांशरूपा च शतरूपा शची दितिः
You are the form of the portion of Kalā, Śatarūpā, Śacī, and Diti.
देव्यश्च मुनिपत्न्यश्च त्वत्कलाकलया शुभे
O auspicious one, the goddesses and the wives of sages are by your portions and sub-portions.
एवं कृत्वा परीहारं स्तुत्वा च कवचं पठेत्
Having thus performed the removal and praised, one should recite the armor.
एवं नित्यं पूजयेद्यो विष्णुतुल्यः स भारते
Whoever worships in this way daily becomes equal to Viṣṇu, O Bhārata.
कार्त्तिकीपूर्णिमायां च राधां यः पूजयेच्छिवे
Whoever worships Rādhā on Kārttikī Pūrṇimā, O auspicious one,
परमैश्वर्य्ययुक्तः स्यादिह लोके स पुण्यवान् 2.55.
That virtuous one becomes endowed with supreme sovereignty in this world.
