राधापूजाविधानं च स्तोत्रं च कवचं मनुम् 2.54.
The procedure for worshipping Rādhā, the hymn, the protective charm, and the mantra—
राजन्निर्गम्यतां शीघ्रमित्युक्त्वा तपसे मुनिः
The sage, having said, 'O King, depart quickly,' went to perform austerities.
रुरुदुर्बान्धवाः सर्वे त्रिरात्रं शोकमूर्च्छिताः
All the relatives wept, unconscious with grief for three nights.
सुयज्ञः पुष्करं गत्वा चक्रे वै दुष्करं तपः
Suyajña went to Puṣkara and performed severe austerities.
तदा ददर्श गगने रथस्थां परमेश्वरीम्
Then he saw the Supreme Goddess in the sky, standing upon a chariot.
तत्याज मानुषं देहं दिव्यां मूर्त्तिं दधार ह
He abandoned his human body and assumed a divine form.
नृपं नीत्वा च गोलोकं तत्र चैषा ययौ तदा
Taking the king, she then went to Goloka.
वेष्टितं पर्वतेनैव शतशृङ्गेण चारुणा
It was encircled by the beautiful mountain with a hundred peaks.
गोगोपगोपीनिकरैः शोभितं परिसेवतैः
Adorned and served by herds of cows, cowherds, and gopīs.
नानाचित्रविचित्रैश्च राजितं परिशोभितम्
Resplendent and beautified by various wondrous and marvelous things.
पारिजातद्रुमाकीर्णैर्वेष्टितं कामधेनुभिः 2.54.
Surrounded by pārijāta trees and encircled by wish-fulfilling cows.
अत्यूर्ध्वमपि वैकुण्ठात्पञ्चाशत्कोटियोजनम्
It is situated fifty crores of yojanas above even Vaikuṇṭha.
आत्माकाशसमं नित्यमस्माकं च सुदुर्लभम्
It is as vast as the space of the self, eternal, and extremely difficult for us to attain.
धर्मक्षुद्रविराट्संघो गङ्गा लक्ष्मीः सरस्वती
Dharma, Kṣudra, Virāṭ, hosts of beings, Gaṅgā, Lakṣmī, and Sarasvatī—
सनत्कुमारः स्कन्दश्च नरनारायणावृषी
Sanatkumāra, Skanda, and the sages Nara and Nārāyaṇa—
पवनो वरुणश्चन्द्रः सूर्य्यो रुद्रो हुताशनः
The wind, Varuṇa, the moon, the sun, Rudra, and the fire-god—
एभिर्दृष्टश्च गोलोको नान्यैर्दृष्टः कदाचन
Goloka was seen by these, but never seen by others at any time.
रत्नमालाकिरीटैश्च भूषितं रत्नभूषणैः
Adorned with crowns of jeweled garlands and ornaments of precious gems.
चन्दनोक्षितसर्वाङ्गं किशोरं गोपरूपिणम्
His entire body anointed with sandalwood, appearing as a youthful cowherd boy.
शरत्पार्वणचन्द्रास्यमीषद्धास्यं मनोहरम्
His face like the autumn full moon, with a gentle, enchanting smile.
स्वेच्छामयं परं ब्रह्म निर्गुणं प्रकृतेः परम् 2.54.
He is the Supreme Brahman, beyond qualities and nature, existing by his own will.
प्रियैर्द्वादशगोपालैः सेवितं श्वेतचामरैः
Attended by his beloved twelve cowherd companions, with white yak-tail fans.
पीडितैः कामबाणैश्च शश्वत्सुस्थिरयौवनैः
Struck by the arrows of desire, ever in the prime of youth, steadfast and beautiful.
रासमण्डलमध्यस्थं श्रीकृष्णं च परात्परम्
Śrī Krishna, the supreme of the supreme, standing at the center of the rāsa circle.
स्तुतं चतुर्भिवेदैश्च मूर्तिमद्भिर्मनोहरैः
Praised by the four Vedas, manifest in delightful forms.
श्रुतवन्तं च सङ्गीतं यन्त्रवक्त्रोत्थितं शिवे
Hearing music sung, arising from instruments and voices, O Śiva.
शश्वत्पूजितपादाब्जमखण्डतुलसीदलैः
His lotus feet ever worshipped with unbroken leaves of holy basil.
दूर्वाभिरक्षताभिश्च पारिजातप्रसूनकैः
With blades of dūrvā grass, grains of rice, and flowers of the pārijāta tree.
सुप्रसन्नं स्वतन्त्रं च सर्वकारणकारणम्
Ever serene, independent, the cause of all causes.
सर्वमङ्गलरूपं च सर्वमङ्गलकारणम् 2.54.
The embodiment of all auspiciousness, the source of all that is auspicious.
