सर्वाधारो महान्विष्णुः कालभीतः स शङ्कितः
The great Viṣṇu, the support of all, is fearful of time and anxious.
एवं च सर्वविश्वस्था ब्रह्मविष्णुशिवादयः
In this way, all the lords of the universe—Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Śiva, and others—exist.
सा सर्वबीजरूपा च मूलप्रकृतिरीश्वरी
She, the original Prakṛti, the sovereign, is the form of all seeds.
एवं सर्वे कालभीताः प्रकृतिः प्राकृतास्तथा
Thus, all are afraid of time, as is Prakṛti and the material elements.
इत्येवं कथितं सर्वं महाज्ञानं सुदुर्लभम्
Thus, all this most rare great knowledge has been explained.
इति श्रीब्रह्मवैवर्त्ते महापुराणे द्वितीये प्रकृतिखण्डे नारदनारायणसंवादान्तर्गतहरगौरीसंवादे राधोपाख्याने सुयज्ञं प्रत्यतिथ्युपदेशो नाम त्रिपञ्चाशत्तमोऽध्यायः
Thus ends the fifty-third chapter, named 'The Instruction to Suyajña on Hospitality,' in the narrative of Rādhā, within the dialogue of Hara and Gaurī, which is part of the Nārada-Nārāyaṇa conversation, in the Prakṛti section of the second book of the great Brahmavaivarta Purāṇa.
राजोवाच कालभीतस्य कति च कालमाया मुनीश्वर
The king said: O best of sages, how many ages are there for one who fears time?
क्षुद्रस्य कतिचित्कालं ब्रह्मणः प्रकृतेस्तथा
How many ages are there for the small one, for Brahmā, and for Prakṛti as well?
अन्येषां वै जनानां च प्राकृतानां परं वयः
And what is the supreme lifespan for other beings, both material and beyond?
विश्वानामूर्ध्वभागे च कस्स्याद्वा लोक एव सः
And in the upper part of the universes, whose world is that?
मुनिरुवाच तथा नित्यं डिम्बरूपश्श्रीकृष्णेच्छासमुद्भवः
The sage said: In the same way, the egg-form is eternally produced by the will of Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
जलेन परिपूर्णश्च कृष्णस्य मुखबिन्दुना
And it is filled with water, from the drop of Kṛṣṇa's mouth.
प्रकृत्या सह युक्तस्य कलया निजया नृप
O King, united with his own portion, with Prakriti herself,
प्रकृतिर्गर्भसंर्युक्तडिम्बोद्भूतस्य भूमिप
O King, from Prakriti, joined with the womb, he was born from the egg.
वनमालाधरः श्रीमाञ्छोभितः पीतवाससा 2.54.
He wears a garland of forest flowers, is radiant, and adorned with yellow garments.
आत्माऽऽकाशसमो नित्यो विस्तृतश्चन्द्रबिम्बवत्
His self is like the sky, eternal, expansive like the disc of the moon.
आकाशवत्सुविस्तारो रत्नौघैश्च विनिर्मितः
Vast as the sky, he is formed from a multitude of jewels.
लक्ष्मीसरस्वतीगङ्गातुलसीपतिरीश्वरः
He is the Lord of Lakshmi, Sarasvati, Ganga, and Tulasi.
सर्वेशः सर्वसिद्धेशो भक्तानुग्रहविग्रहः
He is the Lord of all, master of all perfections, the embodiment of grace to devotees.
चतुर्भुजश्च वैकुण्ठे गोलोके द्विभुजः स्वयम्
In Vaikuntha he is four-armed, but in Goloka he himself is two-armed.
गोलोको वर्त्तुलाकारो वरिष्ठस्सर्वलोकतः
Goloka is circular in shape and superior to all worlds.
रत्नेन्द्रसारखचितैः स्तम्भसोपानचित्रितैः
It is adorned with pillars and stairways inlaid with the best of jewels.
नानाचित्रविचित्रैश्च शिबिरैश्च विराजितः विरजासरिदाकीर्णैश्शतशृंगैस्सुवेष्टितः
It shines with various wondrous pavilions, and is beautified by hundreds of peaks washed by the pure river Viraja.
सरिदर्धप्रमाणेन दैर्घ्येण च ततेन च
Its length is half that of the river, and its width is the same.
तदर्द्धमानविलसद्रासमण्डलमण्डितः 2.54.
It is adorned with a circle of rasa that shines with half that measure.
यथा पंकजमध्ये च कर्णिका सुमनोहरा
Just as, in the center of a lotus, the pericarp is most enchanting,
रासेश्वर्य्या राधिकया संयुक्तः सन्ततं नृप
O King, he is always united with Radhika, the queen of the rasa dance.
वह्निशुद्धांशुकाधानो रत्नभूषणभूषितः
He is clad in garments purified by fire and adorned with jewel ornaments.
रत्नसिंहासनस्थश्च रत्नच्छत्रेण शोभितः
He sits upon a jeweled throne, resplendent beneath a jeweled parasol.
भूषिताभिश्च गोपीभिर्मालाचन्दनचर्चितः
He is decorated by the gopis, adorned with garlands and smeared with sandal paste.
