जपेन दशलक्षेण मन्त्रसिद्धिर्बभूव ह
By reciting the mantra one million times, perfection of the mantra was attained.
लक्ष्मीर्माया कामवाणी ततः कमलवासिनी
Then Lakshmi, Maya, and Kamavani, the one who dwells in the lotus,
श्रीं ह्रीं क्लीं ऐं कमलवासिन्यै स्वाहा राजराजेश्वरो दक्षः सावर्णिर्मनुरेव च
Śrīṃ hrīṃ klīṃ aiṃ, svāhā to the one who dwells in the lotus; King of kings Daksha, and also Manu Savarni.
मंगलोऽनेन मन्त्रेण सप्तद्वीपवतीपतिः
By this mantra, Mangala became lord of the seven-island earth.
एते च सिद्धा राजेन्द्रा मन्त्रेणानेन नारद
These kings, O Narada, attained perfection through this mantra.
रत्नेन्द्रव्यूहखचितविमानस्था वरप्रदा
Residing in an aerial chariot adorned with arrays of chief jewels, bestowing boons.
बिभ्रती रत्नमालां च कोटि चन्द्रसमप्रभा 2.39.
Wearing a garland of jewels, her radiance equal to millions of moons.
पुलकाङ्कितसर्वाङ्गः साश्रुनेत्रः कृताञ्जलिः सर्वाभीष्टप्रदेनैव वैदिकेनैव तत्र च
His whole body thrilled, eyes filled with tears, hands joined in reverence, he offered the Vedic invocation that grants all desires.
इन्द्र उवाच कृष्णप्रियायै सारायै पद्मायै च नमो नमः
Indra said: Repeated salutations to her who is dear to Krishna, who is essence, and who is Padma.
पद्मपत्रेक्षणायै च पद्मास्यायै नमो नमः
Repeated salutations to her whose eyes are like lotus petals, whose face is like a lotus.
सर्वसम्पत्स्वरूपायै सर्वदात्र्यै नमो नमः
Salutations again and again to the embodiment of all prosperity, to the giver of all things.
हरिभक्तिप्रदात्र्यै च हर्षदात्र्यै नमो नमः
Salutations again and again to the giver of devotion to Hari, to the giver of joy.
कृष्णशोभास्वरू पायै रत्नाढ्यायै नमो नमः
Salutations again and again to the one who is the radiance of Krishna, who is adorned with jewels.
सस्याधिष्ठातृदेव्यै च सस्यलक्ष्म्यै नमो नमः
Salutations again and again to the goddess presiding over crops, to the prosperity of crops.
वैकुण्ठे च महालक्ष्मीर्लक्ष्मीः क्षीरोदसागरे
In Vaikuntha, Mahalakshmi is Lakshmi in the ocean of milk.
गृहलक्ष्मीश्च गृहिणां गेहे च गृहदेवता
She is the Lakshmi of the household, the goddess in the homes of householder women.
अदितिर्देवमाता त्वं कमला कमलालये 2.39.
You are Aditi, the mother of the gods; you are Kamala, dwelling in the lotus.
त्वं हि विष्णुस्वरूपा च सर्वाधारा वसुन्धरा
You are indeed the form of Vishnu, the foundation of all, the earth.
क्रोधहिंसावर्जिता च वरदा च शुभानना
You are free from anger and violence, the giver of boons, with an auspicious face.
यया विना जगत्सर्वं भस्मीभूतमसारकम्
Without you, the entire world becomes ashes and devoid of essence.
सर्वेषां च परा त्वं हि सर्वबान्धवरूपिणी
You are supreme among all, and you take the form of every relative.
त्वया हीनो बन्धुहीनस्त्वया युक्तः सबान्धवः
One deprived of you is deprived of kin; one united with you is with all relatives.
स्तनन्धयानां त्वं माता शिशूनां शैशवे यथा
You are the mother of infants, just as for children in their infancy.
त्यक्तस्तनो मातृहीनः स चेज्जीवति दैवतः
If an infant is deprived of its mother's breast, it lives only by divine grace.
सुप्रसन्नस्वरूपा त्वं मे प्रसन्ना भवाम्बिके
You are of supremely gracious nature; O Ambika, be gracious to me.
वयं यावत्त्वया हीना बन्धुहीनाश्च भिक्षुकाः
As long as we are deprived of you, we are deprived of kin and are beggars.
राज्यं देहि श्रियं देहि बलं देहि सुरेश्वरि 2.39.
Grant me kingdom, grant me wealth, grant me strength, O goddess of the gods.
कामं देहि मतिं देहि भोगान्देहि हरिप्रिये
Grant me desire, grant me wisdom, grant me enjoyments, O beloved of Hari.
सर्वाधिकारमेवं वै प्रभावं च प्रतापकम्
Such is the supreme authority, the power, and the brilliance.
इत्युक्त्वा तु महेन्द्रश्च सर्वैः सुरगणैः सह
Having spoken thus, Mahendra, together with all the hosts of gods,
