दण्डेन मुसलेनैव मम दूतैश्च ताडिताः
Struck by my messengers with rods and pestles,
अवटः कूपभेदश्च यत्रोदं च तदाकृति
There is a chasm, a kind of well, and water of that form.
व्याप्तं महापापिभिश्च दग्धगात्रैश्च सन्ततम्
It is always filled with great sinners, their limbs scorched.
यत्तोयस्पर्शमात्रेण सर्व व्याधिश्च पापिनाम्
By the mere touch of its water, all diseases afflict the sinners.

तद्भक्ष्यैः पापिभिर्युक्तं न पश्यद्भिः परस्परम् ध्वान्तेन चक्षुषा चान्धैरन्धकूपं प्रकीर्तितम्
It is inhabited by sinners who are eaten by those worms, unable to see each other, blinded by darkness; this is called the blind well.
नानाप्रकारशस्त्रौघैर्यत्र विद्धाश्च पापिनः
Where sinners are pierced by hosts of various weapons.

पातमात्राद्यत्र पापी मूर्छितो व्यथितो भवेत्
