चैत्रमासेऽथवा माघे शङ्करं योऽर्चयेद्व्रती
Whoever, observing a vow, worships Shankara in the month of Chaitra or Magha—
श्रीरामनवमीं यो हि करोति भारते नरः 2.27.
Whoever, in Bharat, observes Shri Rama Navami—
पुनः स्वयोनिं संप्राप्य रामभक्तिं लभेद्ध्रुवम्
Having attained his own birth again, he surely obtains devotion to Rama.
शारदीयां महापूजां प्रकृतेर्यः करोति च
Whoever performs the great autumnal worship of Prakriti—
नैवेद्यैरुपहारैश्च धूपदीपादिभिस्तथा
With offerings of food, gifts, and likewise with incense and lamps—
शिवलोके वसेत्सोऽपि सप्तमन्वन्तरावधि
He too dwells in Shiva's world until the end of seven Manvantaras.
अचलां श्रियमाप्नोति पुत्रपौत्रादिवर्द्धिनीम्
He attains unwavering prosperity, increasing with sons and grandsons.
राजराजेश्वरः सोऽपि भवेदेव न संशयः
He too becomes a king of kings, there is no doubt.
नित्यं भक्त्या पक्षमेकं पुण्यक्षेत्रे च भारते
Whoever, with devotion, for one fortnight, in a holy place in Bharat—
वैकुण्ठे मोदते सोऽपि यावच्चन्द्रदिवाकरौ
He too delights in Vaikuntha as long as the moon and sun endure.
कार्तिकीपूर्णिमायां च कृत्वा तु रासमण्डलम्
On the full moon day of Kartika, having established the circle of rasa dance,
शिलायां प्रतिमायां वा श्रीकृष्णं राधया सह 2.27.
either upon a stone or an image, one should worship Shri Krishna together with Radha.
गोलोके च वसेत्सोऽपि यावद्वै ब्रह्मणो वयः
Even in Goloka, one dwells as long as the age of Brahma endures.
क्रमेण सुदृढां भक्तिं लब्ध्वा मन्त्रं हरेरपि
Gradually, having attained firm devotion and the mantra of Hari,
तत्र कृष्णस्य सारूप्यं संप्राप्य पार्षदो भवेत्
there, obtaining the likeness of Krishna, one becomes his attendant.
शुक्लां वाऽप्यथवा कृष्णां करोत्येकादशीं च यः
Whoever observes either the white or the black Ekadashi,
भारतं पुनरागत्य हरिभक्तिं लभेद्ध्रुवम्
having returned again to Bharata, surely attains devotion to Hari.
भाद्रे शुक्ले च द्वादश्यां यः शक्रं पूजयेन्नरः
On the bright Dvadashi in the month of Bhadra, whoever worships Shakra,
रविवारेऽर्कसंक्रान्त्यां सप्तम्यां शुक्लपक्षतः
on Sunday, at the solar transition, on the seventh day of the bright fortnight,
महीयते सोऽर्कलोके यावच्चन्द्रदिवाकरौ
he is honored in the realm of the sun as long as the moon and sun endure.
ज्येष्ठशुक्लचतुर्दश्यां सावित्रीं यो हि पूजयेत्
Whoever worships Savitri on the fourteenth day of the bright fortnight in Jyeshtha,
पुनर्महीं समागत्य श्रीमानतुलविक्रमः 2.27.
having returned again to earth, becomes endowed with great valor and honor.
माघस्य शुक्लपञ्चम्यां पूजयेद्यः सरस्वतीम्
Whoever worships Sarasvati on the fifth day of the bright fortnight in Magha,
महीयते स वैकुण्ठे यावद्ब्रह्मदिवानिशम्
he is honored in Vaikuntha for as long as the days and nights of Brahma endure.
गां सुवर्णादिकं यो हि ब्राह्मणाय ददाति च
Whoever gives a cow, gold, or similar gifts to a Brahmana,
गवां लोमप्रमाणाब्दं द्विगुणं विष्णुमन्दिरे
for a period equal to the number of hairs on the cow, doubled, in the temple of Vishnu,
ततः पुनरिहागत्य विष्णुभक्तिं लभेद्ध्रुवम् गोमांश्च पुत्रवान्विद्वाञ्ज्ञानवान्सर्वतः सुखी
then, having returned here again, he surely attains devotion to Vishnu; he becomes possessed of cows, sons, wisdom, and happiness in every way.
भोजयेद्यो हि मिष्टान्नं ब्राह्मणेभ्यश्च भारते
Whoever feeds sweet food to Brahmanas in Bharata,
ततः पुनरिहागत्य स सुखी धनवान्भवेत्
Then, returning here again, he becomes happy and wealthy.
यो वक्ति वा ददात्येव हरेर्नामानि भारते
Whoever speaks or gives the names of Hari in the land of Bharata,
