पुनः स्वयोनिं संप्राप्य जम्बूद्वीपपतिर्भवेत्
After attaining his own birth again, he becomes the lord of Jambūdvīpa.
मही तं न जहात्येव जन्मनां कोटिमेव च
The earth certainly does not abandon him for a crore of births.
जम्बूद्वीपं यो ददाति ब्राह्मणाय पतिव्रते 2.27.
Whoever gives Jambūdvīpa to a brāhmaṇa or a devoted wife,
सप्तद्वीपमहीदातुः सर्वतीर्थानुसेविनः
Who gives the earth of the seven continents and serves at all holy places,
सर्वदानप्रदातुश्च सर्वसिद्धेश्वरस्य च
Of the giver of all gifts and the lord of all perfections,
असंख्यब्रह्मणा पातं पश्यन्ति वैष्णवाः सति
Vaishnavas, while alive, witness the fall of countless Brahmas.
विष्णुमन्त्रोपासकश्च विहाय मानवीं तनुम्
One who worships Vishnu with mantra, abandoning the human body,
लब्ध्वा विष्णोश्च सारूप्यं विष्णुसेवां करोति च
Having attained likeness to Vishnu, serves Vishnu thereafter.
नश्यन्ति देवाः सिद्धाश्च विश्वानि निखिलानि च
The gods, the perfected beings, and all the worlds perish,
कार्त्तिके तुलसीदानं करोति हरये च यः
Whoever offers tulasi to Hari in the month of Karttika,
पुनः स्वयोनिं संप्राप्य हरिभक्तिं लभेद्ध्रुवम्
Regaining his own birth, surely attains devotion to Hari.
घृतप्रदीपं हरये कार्त्तिके यो ददाति च
Whoever gives a ghee lamp to Hari in Karttika,
पुनः स्वयोनिं संप्राप्य विष्णुभक्तिं लभेद्ध्रुवम् 2.27.
Regaining his own birth, surely attains devotion to Vishnu.
माघे यः स्नाति गङ्गायामरुणोदयकालतः
Who bathes in the Ganga during Magha at sunrise,
पुनः स्वयोनिं संप्राप्य विष्णुभक्तिं लभेद्ध्रुवम्
Regaining his own birth, surely attains devotion to Vishnu.
माघे यः स्नाति गंगायां प्रयागे चारुणोदये
Who bathes in the Ganga at Prayaga during Magha at sunrise,
पुनः स्वयोनिं संप्राप्य विष्णुमन्त्रं लभेद्ध्रुवम्
Regaining his own birth, surely attains the Vishnu-mantra.
नास्ति तत्पुनरावृत्तिर्वैकुण्ठाच्च महीतले
There is no return from Vaikuntha to the earth.
नित्यस्नायी च गङ्गायां स पूतः सूर्य्यवद्भुवि
One who bathes daily in the Ganga is purified on earth like the sun.
तस्यैव पादरजसा सद्यः पूता वसुन्धरा
By the dust of his feet, the earth is instantly purified.
पुनः स्वयोनिं संप्राप्य तपस्विप्रवरो भवेत्
Regaining his own birth, he becomes a foremost ascetic.
मीनकर्कटयोर्मध्ये गाढं तपति भास्करे
Between Mina and Karkata, the sun blazes intensely.
मोदते स च वैकुण्ठे यावदिन्द्राश्चतुर्दश 2.27.
He delights in Vaikuntha for as long as the fourteen Indras reign.
वैशाखे हरये भक्त्या यो ददाति च चन्दनम् पुनः स्वयोनिं संप्राप्य रूपवांश्च सुखी भवेत्
Whoever offers sandalwood to Hari with devotion in the month of Vaishakha, having attained his own birth again, becomes handsome and happy.
वैशाखे सक्तुदानं च यः करोति द्विजातये
Whoever gives parched grain as charity to a twice-born in the month of Vaishakha—
करोति भारते यो हि कृष्णजन्माष्टमीव्रतम्
Whoever observes the vow of Krishna's birth-ashtami in Bharat—
वैकुण्ठे मोदते सोऽपि यावदिन्द्राश्चतुर्दश
He too delights in Vaikuntha for as long as the fourteen Indras reign.
इहैव भारते वर्षे शिवरात्रिं करोति यः
Whoever observes Shivaratri here itself in the land of Bharat—
शिवाय शिवरात्रौ च बिल्वपत्रं ददाति यः
Whoever offers bilva leaves to Shiva on Shivaratri—
पुनः स्वयोनिं संप्राप्य शिवभक्तिं लभेद्ध्रुवम्
Having attained his own birth again, he surely obtains devotion to Shiva.
