वसनं भूषणं माल्यं गन्धमाचमनीयकम्
Clothing, ornaments, garland, fragrance, and water for sipping.
दारुसारविकारं च हेमादिनिर्मितं च वा
Made of sandalwood or crafted from gold and other precious materials.
तीर्थोदकं च पाद्यं च पुण्यदं प्रीतिदं महत्
Sacred water and water for the feet, greatly bestowing merit and delight.
पवित्ररूपमर्घ्यं च दूर्वापुष्पाक्षतान्वितम्
Pure offering water, accompanied by durva grass, flowers, and rice grains.
सुगन्धि धात्रीतैलं च देहसौन्दर्य्यकारणम्
Fragrant amla oil, for enhancing bodily beauty.
मलयाचलसम्भूतं देहशोभाविवर्द्धनम्
Produced from the Malaya mountains, increasing the radiance of the body.
गन्धद्रव्योद्भवः पुण्यः प्रीतिदो दिव्यगन्धदः 2.23.
Originating from fragrant substances, auspicious, pleasing, and imparting divine fragrance.
जगतां दर्शनीयं च दर्शनं दीप्तिकारणम्
Worthy of being seen by the world, its sight brings brilliance.
तुष्टिदं पुष्टिदं चैव प्रीतिदं क्षुद्विनाशनम्
It brings satisfaction, nourishment, delight, and removes hunger.
ताम्बूलं च वरं रम्यं कर्पूरादिसुवासितम्
The betel leaf, excellent and pleasing, is fragrant with camphor and other scents.
सुशीतलं वासितं च पिपासानाशकारणम्
It is very cool and perfumed, and serves to quench thirst.
देहशोभास्वरूपं च सभाशोभाविवर्द्धनम्
It enhances the beauty of the body and increases the splendor of the assembly.
काञ्चनादिभिराबद्धं श्रीयुक्तं श्रीकरं सदा
Bound with gold and other materials, always endowed with prosperity and bestowing prosperity.
नानापुष्पलताकीर्णं बहुभासा समन्वितम्

द्विजातीनां जातिरूपे प्रसन्ना भव सुन्दरि।।2.23.
Become pleased, O beautiful one, in the form of the birth of the twice-born.
नित्ये नित्यप्रिये देवि नित्यानन्दस्वरूपिणि
O eternal one, O eternally beloved goddess, whose nature is perpetual bliss.
सर्वस्वरूपे विप्राणां मन्त्रसारे परात्परे
O embodiment of all forms, O essence of mantras for the Brahmins, O supreme among the supreme.
विप्रपापेन्धदाहाय ज्वलदग्निशिखोपमे
To burn away the sins of Brahmins, you are like a blazing flame of fire.
