द्विचक्रं विस्तृतास्यं च वनमालासमन्वितम्
With two wheels and a wide mouth, it is adorned with a forest garland.
द्वारदेशे द्विचक्रं च सश्रीकं च समं स्फुटम्
At the doorway, there is a two-wheeled one, even, clear, and marked with prosperity.
प्रद्युम्नं सूक्ष्मचक्रं च नवीननीरदप्रभम्
Pradyumna is subtle-wheeled, shining like a fresh raincloud.
द्वे चक्रे चैकलग्ने च पृष्ठे यत्र तु पुष्कलम्
There are two wheels, one attached, and on the back, it is abundant.
अनिरुद्धं तु पीताभं वर्तुलं चातिशोभनम्
Aniruddha is yellow in hue, round, and exceedingly beautiful.
शालग्रामशिला यत्र तत्र सन्निहितो हरिः
Wherever there is a shalagrama stone, there Hari is present.
यानि कानि च पापानि ब्रह्महत्यादिकानि च
Whatever sins there are, including the killing of a Brahmin and others,
छत्राकारं भवेद्राज्यं वर्तुले च महाश्रियः
A parasol shape brings sovereignty, and a circular one great prosperity.
विकृतास्ये च दारिद्र्यं पिङ्गले हानिरेव च 2.21.
A deformed mouth brings poverty, and tawny color brings loss.
व्रतं दानं प्रतिष्ठा च श्राद्धं च देवपूजनम्
Vow, charity, establishment, ancestral rites, and worship of the gods—
स स्नातः सर्वतीर्थेषु सर्वयज्ञेषु दीक्षितः
He is as if bathed in all the sacred waters and initiated in all sacrifices.
सर्वदानेषु यत्पुण्यं प्रादक्षिण्ये भुवो यथा
Whatever merit is gained by all gifts or by circumambulating the earth—
तस्य स्पर्शं च वाञ्छन्ति तीर्थानि निखिलानि च
All the sacred places desire his touch.
पाठे चतुर्णां वेदानां तपसां करणे सति
When one recites the four Vedas or performs austerities,
शालग्रामशिलातोयं नित्यं भुङ्क्ते च यो नरः
Whoever daily partakes of the water from the Śālagrāma stone,
तस्य स्पर्शं च वाञ्छन्ति तीर्थानि निखि लानि च
All the sacred places long for his touch.
तत्रैव हरिणा सार्द्धमसंख्यं प्राकृतं लयम्
There itself, together with Hari, countless material elements dissolve.
यानि कानि च पापानि ब्रह्महत्यादिकानि च
Whatever sins there are, including the killing of a Brāhmaṇa and others,
तत्पादपद्मरजसा सद्यः पूता वसुन्धरा 2.21.
By the dust of his lotus feet, the earth is instantly purified.
शालग्रामशिला तोयं मृत्युकाल च यो लभेत्
Whoever obtains water from the Śālagrāma stone at the time of death,
निर्वाणमुक्तिं लभते कर्मभोगाद्विमुच्यते
Attains liberation and release from the fruits of actions.
शालग्रामशिलां धृत्वा मिथ्यावादं वदेत्तु यः
Whoever, holding the Śālagrāma stone, speaks falsehood,
शालग्रामशिलां स्पृष्ट्वा स्वीकारं यो न पालयेत्
Whoever, after touching the Śālagrāma stone, does not keep his vow,
तुलसीपत्र विच्छेदं शालग्रामे करोति यः
Whoever breaks a tulasī leaf for use in the Śālagrāma worship,
तुलसीपत्रविच्छेदं शंखे यो हि करोति च
Whoever breaks a tulasī leaf for use in a conch,
शालग्रामं च तुलसीं शंखमेकत्र एव च
Śālagrāma, tulasī, and conch—if all three are together in one place,
सकृदेव हि यो यस्यां वीर्य्याधानं करोति यः
Whoever, even once, deposits semen in any of these,
त्वं प्रिया शंखचूडस्य चैकमन्वन्तरावधि
You are dear to Śaṃkhacūḍa for the duration of a single manvantara.
इत्युक्त्वा श्रीहरिस्तां च विरराम च सादरम् 2.21.
Having spoken thus, Śrī Hari respectfully ceased.
यथा श्रीश्च तथा सा चाप्युवास हरिवक्षसि
Just as Śrī herself, so too did she dwell upon Hari's chest.
