ततस्तस्याः शरीरं च गुणश्रेष्ठं बभूव ह
Then her body became endowed with the highest qualities.
त्वन्मन्त्रोपासकेभ्यश्च वैष्णवेभ्यश्च किंचन 2.11.
— a portion to those devoted to your mantra, and to the Vaiṣṇavas.
मया पूर्वं हि दृष्टस्त्वं गोप्या च क्षमया सह
Formerly, I saw you together with the Gopī, accompanied by forgiveness,
रत्नभूषितया चारुचन्दनोक्षितया तया
She was adorned with jewels and anointed with beautiful sandalwood paste.
श्लिष्टोऽभून्निद्रया सद्यः सुखेन नवसङ्गमात्
He was immediately embraced by sleep, from happiness, after their new union.
गृहीतं पीतवस्त्रं ते मुरली च मनोहरा
Your yellow garment was taken, and your enchanting flute as well.
पश्चात्प्रदत्तं प्रेम्णा च सखीनां वचनादहो
Afterwards, these were returned with love, at the words of the friends—indeed!
क्षमा देहं परित्यज्य लज्जया पृथिवीं गता
Out of shame, Kṣamā abandoned her body and entered the earth.
संविभज्य त्वया दत्तं प्रेम्णा च रुदता पुरा
What was given by you, divided and offered with love, while weeping before,
धर्मिष्ठेभ्यश्च धर्माय दुर्बलेभ्यश्च किंचन
—that was for the righteous, for the sake of dharma, and a little for the weak.
एतत्ते कथितं सर्वं किं भूयः श्रोतुमिच्छसि
All this has been told to you; what more do you wish to hear?
इत्येवमुक्त्वा सा राधा रक्तपङ्कजलोचना 2.11.
Thus, having spoken, Rādhā—her eyes reddened like lotus-petals—
गङ्गा रहस्यं योगेन ज्ञात्वा वै सिद्धयोगिनी
Gāṅgā, the accomplished yoginī, knew the secret by yoga.
राधा योगेन विज्ञाय सर्वत्रावस्थितां च ताम्
Rādhā, by yoga, perceived her present everywhere.
गंगा रहस्यं योगेन ज्ञात्वा वै सिद्धयोगिनी
Gāṅgā, the accomplished yoginī, knew the secret by yoga.
गोलोकं चैव वैकुण्ठं ब्रह्मलोकादिकं तथा
Goloka, Vaikuṇṭha, and also Brahmaloka and the rest—
सर्वतो जलशून्यं च शुष्कपङ्कजगोलकम्
Everywhere was devoid of water, a globe of withered lotuses.
ब्रह्मविष्णुशिवानन्तधर्मेन्द्रेन्दुदिवाकराः
Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Śiva, Ananta, Dharma, Indra, the Moon, and the Sun—
गोलोकं च समाजग्मुः शुष्ककण्ठौष्ठतालुकाः
They all came to Goloka, their throats, lips, and palates parched.
वरं वरेण्यं वरदं वरिष्ठं वरकारणम्
The bestower of boons, the most excellent, the giver of blessings, the supreme, the cause of all boons—
निरीहं च निराकारं निर्लिप्तं च निराश्रयम्
Desireless, formless, untouched, and without support—
स्वेच्छामयं च साकारं भक्तानुग्रहविग्रहम् ।। 2.11.
Self-willed, yet with form, the embodiment of grace toward devotees.
परं परेशं परमं परमात्मानमीश्वरम्
The supreme, the transcendent Lord, the highest Self, the ruler of all.
सगद्गदा साश्रुनेत्राः पुलकाङ्कितविग्रहाः
With trembling voices, tear-filled eyes, and bodies marked by goosebumps.
ज्योतिर्मयं परं ब्रह्म सर्वकारणकारणम्
The radiant, supreme Brahman, the cause of all causes.
सेव्यमानं च गोपालैः श्वेतचामरवायुना
Served by the cowherd boys, cooled by white yak-tail fans.
वल्गुवेषैः परिवृतं गोपैश्च शतकोटिभिः
Surrounded by charmingly dressed cowherds numbering in hundreds of millions.
नवीननीरदश्यामं किशोरं पीतवाससम्
Dark as a fresh raincloud, youthful, clad in yellow garments.
कोटिचन्द्रप्रभाजुष्टपुष्टश्रीयुक्तविग्रहम्
His form adorned with the splendor of millions of moons, endowed with radiant beauty.
कोटिकन्दर्पसौन्दर्य्यलीलालावण्यविग्रहम्
His form possessing the charm and playful grace of millions of Cupids.
