आविर्बभूव कन्यैका कृष्णस्य वामपार्श्वतः
A single maiden appeared from Krishna's left side.
रासे संभूय गोलोके सा दधाव हरेः पुरः
Born in the rasa, in Goloka, she ran before Hari.
प्राणाधिष्ठातृदेवी सा कृष्णस्य परमात्मनः
She is the goddess presiding over life, of Krishna, the Supreme Soul.
देवी षोडशवर्षीया नवयौवनसंयुता
The goddess was sixteen years old, endowed with fresh youth.
सुकोमलांगी ललिता सुन्दरीषु च सुन्दरी
Among the beautiful, she is the most beautiful, with delicate limbs and graceful form.
बन्धुजीवजिता रक्तसुन्दरोष्ठा धरावरा 1.5.
Her lips are red, surpassing the bandhujīva flower, and she is the best among those on earth.
शरत्पार्वणकोटीन्दुशोभामृष्टशुभानना
Her radiant face shines like ten million autumn full moons, pure and auspicious.
खगेन्द्रचञ्चुविजितचारुनासा मनोहरा
Her charming nose surpasses the beauty of the king of birds’ beak, enchanting to behold.
दधती चारुकर्णे च रत्नाभरणभूषिते
She wears beautiful earrings, adorned with precious jewels.
सिन्दूरबिन्दुसंयुक्तसुकपोला मनोहरा
Her lovely cheeks are marked with a vermilion dot, captivating in appearance.
सुगन्धकबरीभारं सुन्दरं दधती सती
The virtuous lady bears a fragrant, abundant, and beautiful mass of hair.
गमनं कुर्वती सा च हंसखञ्जनगञ्जनम्
She walks in a manner that surpasses the gait of swans and wagtails.
हारं हीरकनिर्माणं रत्नकेयूरकङ्कणम्
She wears a necklace made of diamonds, and bracelets and armlets of precious gems.
अमूल्यरत्ननिर्माणं क्वणन्मञ्जीररञ्जितम्
She is adorned with priceless jewels, and her anklets resound melodiously.
सा च सम्भाष्य गोविन्दं रत्नसिंहासने वरे
She spoke to Govinda, seated upon a splendid jeweled throne.
तस्याश्च लोमकूपेभ्यः सद्यो गोपाङ्गनागणः 1.5.
From her pores, at once, arose a multitude of gopī maidens.
लक्षकोटीपरिमितः शश्वत्सुस्थिरयौवनः
Their number was in the hundreds of millions, ever youthful and steadfast.
कृष्णस्य लोमकूपेभ्यः सद्यो गोपगणो मुने
O sage, from Krishna’s pores, at once, arose a multitude of gopas.
त्रिंशत्कोटिपरिमितः कमनीयो मनोहरः
Their number was thirty million, delightful and enchanting.
कृष्णस्य लोमकूपेभ्यः सद्यश्चाविर्बभूव ह
From Krishna’s pores, at once, they appeared.
बलीवर्दाः सुरभ्यश्च वत्सा नानाविधाः शुभाः
Strong bulls, surabhi cows, and calves of various kinds, all auspicious, arose.
तेषामेकं बलीवर्दं कोटिसिंहसमं बले
Among them, one bull possessed strength equal to a million lions.
कृष्णांघ्रिनखरन्धेभ्यो हंसपङ्क्तिर्मनोहरा
From the nails of Krishna's feet arose a delightful line of swans.
तेषामेकं राजहंसं महाबलपराक्रमम्
Among them, one royal swan possessed great strength and valor.
वामकर्णस्य विवरात्कृष्णस्य परमात्मनः
From the opening of Krishna, the Supreme Soul's left ear,
तेषामेकं च श्वेताश्वं धर्मार्थं वाहनाय च 1.5.
Among them, one white horse was given for the purpose of upholding righteousness and as a vehicle.
दक्षकर्णस्य विवरात्पुंसश्च सुरसंसदि
From the opening of the right ear, in the assembly of the gods,
तेषामेकं ददौ कृष्णः प्रकृत्यै परमादरम्
Krishna gave one of them to Prakriti with the highest honor.
कृष्णो योगेन योगीन्द्रश्चकार रथपञ्चकम्
Krishna, the lord of yogis, by his yogic power created five chariots.
लक्षयोजनमूर्ध्वे च प्रस्थे च शतयोजनम्
Each was a hundred thousand yojanas high and ten thousand yojanas in length.
