I am unable to even blink my eyes when beholding you.
After only a short time apart, I am reunited with you.
But even a moment without you becomes for me like a hundred ages.
Mother, father, relatives, brother, sister, or son—
If, O Lord of Māyā, you conceal me on earth by your illusion—
At every moment, O Madhusūdana, my mind is like a bee absorbed in you.
Wherever and in whatever womb this birth of mine may occur—
You are Kṛṣṇa, I am Rādhikā; such is the fortune of our love.
Just as the body exists with the life-breath, or the shadow with the form—
So, on earth, there will never be even the interruption of a blink between us.
O Hari, by whose compassion does your body live by my life-breaths?
How many kinds of women are there, or men, O praised among men?
By whose half of your body was I created?
Just as my self, my mind, and my life-breaths are established in you—
Therefore, from even the briefest separation of our eyes, my mind is distressed.
Having spoken thus, that goddess, right there in the assembly of the gods—
Krishna took her onto his lap and gently wiped her face with his garment.
Śrī Krishna said: Listen, O goddess, I will tell you that which is difficult even for the greatest yogis to attain.
Behold, O beautiful one, the entire universe in terms of the support and the supported.
See the fruit as supported, the flower as the support; the flower as supported, the bud as the support.
The tree is supported by the sprout, which is endowed with the power of life.
Śeṣa upholds the earth, and the tortoise supports Śeṣa.
You are the very form of my foundation; I now abide in you.
You are the embodiment of the body, the support of the three qualities.
From the man arises seed, and from seed, indeed, comes progeny.
Without the body, where is the self? And without the self, where is the body?
There is nowhere any difference between us, O Rādhā, the two seeds of worldly existence.
Just as whiteness is in milk, and heat is in fire,
So is the unity of whiteness and milk, and of heat and fire.
Without me, you are lifeless; and without you, I am invisible.
