Thus ends the one hundred twenty-ninth chapter, named 'The Ascent to Goloka,' from the great Brahma-vaivarta Purāṇa, in the section concerning the birth of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, as spoken by Nārada.
Now, the one hundred thirtieth chapter. Nārada said: All has been heard, O greatly fortunate one, and nothing remains desired; what unprecedented, wish-fulfilling Purāṇa is this Brahma-vaivarta!
Now, what should I do? Tell me, O Teacher of the world; command me, and I will go to the Himālayas to perform austerities.
Nārāyaṇa said: In a previous birth you were Uvabarhaṇa, king of the Gandharvas and lord of fifty women; now you are the son of Brahmā.

She is the most beautiful among the beautiful, tender as a lotus petal, devoted to her husband, greatly fortunate, lovely, and sweet-spoken.
She is passionate, enchanting, ever in the prime of youth; the deed written by the Creator in a previous life—who can prevent it?
Unexperienced karma does not perish, even in hundreds of millions of aeons; whatever good or bad has been done must certainly be experienced.

'Where are you going, leaving my house empty, O lotus-eyed one? I will go to the dreadful forest; having abandoned you, my life is as good as dead.'
After bowing to her father, and seeing her mother weeping, the daughter also wept, and ascended the chariot of the Creator.

He fed the Brahmins, performing auspicious rites with his retinue; he also honored the gods and the Siddhas, and sounded the drum.
But Nārada, the foremost sage, afflicted by previous karma—whatever one's past destiny, O Brahmin, who can overcome it?
