—spoke and, with a glance of compassion, revived her, O Nārada. Rādhikā, the divine lady, rose up, weeping, proud and chaste.
The gopīs revived her, holding her in their laps again and again.
Śrī Kṛṣṇa said: 'Listen, Rādhā, I will tell you the supreme spiritual knowledge; by hearing which, even a foolish ploughman immediately becomes wise.'
'By nature, I am the Lord of all beings—what of Rukmiṇī and other women? I am the form of cause and effect, manifesting separately, O Rādhe.'
'I am the one soul of all, by nature self-luminous; I am manifest in all beings, from Brahmā down to the blade of grass.'
'When one alone enjoys, no other person is satisfied; even when one merges in me, another still lives on.'
'By nature, I am of the form of Kṛṣṇa, the most complete; in Goloka, in Gokula, in the holy field, in the forest of Vṛndāvana.'
'With two arms, in the guise of a cowherd, I am Rādhā's own lord, a child, together with cowherds, gopīs, and wish-fulfilling cows.'
'With four arms, I am in Vaikuṇṭha, eternal in two forms, always the beloved of Lakṣmī and Sarasvatī, ever of peaceful form.'
'As the mental son, the daughter of the ocean, I am the lord of mortal Lakṣmī on earth; in Śvetadvīpa, I am Śrī, and there too, four-armed.'
'I am Nārāyaṇa, the sage; I am Nara, the eternal Dharma; I am the speaker of Dharma, the most righteous, the establisher of the path of Dharma.'
'Peace is the form of Lakṣmī, devoted to Dharma and faithful to her husband; here, in the holy land of Bhārata, I am her husband.'
'I am the lord of siddhas, the giver of siddhi, truly Kapila, the husband of Satī; I take on many forms, O beautiful one, by distinction of manifestation.'
'I am always four-armed in Dvārakā, the husband of Rukmiṇī; I am the one who lies on the ocean of milk, in the auspicious house of Satyabhāmā.'
In the temples of others, I too, by the arrangement of bodies, am distinct; I am Nārāyaṇa, the sage, and the charioteer of this Phālguna.
That sage among men, the son of Dharma, is my portion, powerful on earth; by his austerity he worshipped me, and thus I became his charioteer at Puṣkara.
Just as you, goddess Rādhikā, are in Goloka and Gokula, so in Vaikuṇṭha you are Mahālakṣmī, and you are Sarasvatī.
You are the mortal Lakṣmī, beloved of the one who lies upon the ocean of milk; you are the wife of the son of Dharma, you are Śānti, the form of Lakṣmī.
You are the beloved and dear one of Kapila, and in Bhārata you are Satī; you are Sītā in Mithilā, and your shadow is Draupadī, the virtuous one.
In Dvāravatī you are Mahālakṣmī, and you are Rukmiṇī, the virtuous one; for the five Pāṇḍavas, you are their beloved by your portion.
You, who were abducted by Rāvaṇa, are also the beloved of Rāma; just as you take many forms, so do you by your shadow and portion, O virtuous one.
In the same way, I too take many forms, by my portion and shadow; yet I am the most complete, the Supreme Self, beyond all.
Thus, O Satī, I have told you everything spiritual; O Rādhe, forgive my offense, O Supreme Lady.
Hearing the words of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, Rādhikā was satisfied; the gopīs too were satisfied and bowed to the Supreme Lord.
Thus ends the great Brahma section, the birth of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the twenty-sixth chapter, narrated by Nārada.
Now begins the one hundred twenty-seventh chapter. Nārāyaṇa said: Hearing the words of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the gopikās were delighted with joy; all went to the temple, bowing to Rādhikā and the Lord.
Rādhā, with sixteen-fold mood of adornment, performed it smilingly, she, the virtuous one with playful, restless eyes.
Having given sandalwood and garlands to her Lord, she again engaged in secret jesting.
Kṛṣṇa drew Rādhikā near, bringing her to his chest; he kissed her lips, lower lip, and both cheeks.
Rādhā kissed Kṛṣṇa's enchanting moon-like face; she embraced Kṛṣṇa, Lord of her life, with her arms to her own chest.
