रक्षक उवाच गणेशं पूजयामास सर्वादौ च शुभक्षणे । वृषभानसुता राधा प्रकृत्य स्वस्तिवाचनम्
The protector spoke: At the most auspicious moment, Rādhā, daughter of Vṛṣabhānu, first performed the worship of Gaṇeśa, having recited the words of blessing.
सहिता सा बलवती गोपीत्रिशतकोटिभिः । वारितोऽहं वलिष्ठाभिर्युष्मांश्च कथयामि तत्
She, powerful and accompanied by thirty crore gopīs, was restrained by the strongest among them; I will tell you about this.
मर्वादौ पूजयेद्यो हि सोऽनन्तं फलमालभेत् । मध्ये मध्यविधं पुण्यं शेषे स्वल्पमिति स्मृतम्
Whoever worships at the very beginning attains endless fruit; in the middle, the merit is moderate, and at the end, it is said to be little.
देवेन्द्रेषु मुनीन्द्रेषु देवस्त्रीषु स्थितासु च । गोपीभिश्च सह तया राधया पूजितः परः
Among the chief of gods, sages, and divine women, the Supreme was worshipped by Rādhā together with the gopīs.
दूतवाक्यं समाकर्ण्य जहसुः सर्वदेवताः । मुनयो मनवश्चैव राजानो देवयोषितः
Hearing the messenger’s words, all the deities, sages, Manus, kings, and divine women rejoiced.
रुक्मिण्याद्या रमण्यश्च या देव्यो विस्मयं ययुः । सरस्वती च सावित्री पार्वती परमेश्वरी
Rukmiṇī and other illustrious women, the goddesses Sarasvatī, Sāvitrī, and Pārvatī, the supreme goddess, were all filled with wonder.
रोहिणी च सती संज्ञा स्वाहाद्या देवयोषितः । मुदिताः प्रययुः सर्वा मुनिपत्न्यः पतिव्रताः
Rohiṇī, Satī, Saṃjñā, Svāhā, and other divine women, as well as all the wives of the sages devoted to their husbands, joyfully proceeded.
मुनयो मनवः सर्वे देवाश्चापि नरास्तथा । श्रीकृष्णः स गणैः सार्धं ये चान्ये प्रययुर्मुदा
All the sages, Manus, gods, and men, along with Śrī Kṛṣṇa and his attendants, and others, went forth with joy.
ते सर्वे विविधैर्द्रव्यैः पूजां चक्रुः शुभक्षणे । बलिष्ठा दुर्बलाश्चैव क्रमेण च पृथक्पृथक्
All of them performed worship at the auspicious moment with various offerings, both the strong and the weak, each in their own turn and separately.
लड्डुकानां च राशीनां शतकोटिर्बभूव ह । शर्कराणां तदर्धं च स्वस्तिकानां तथैव च
There were a hundred crore heaps of sweet balls, half as much of sugar, and the same amount of svastika cakes.
अन्नानां भव्यवस्तूनां शतकोटिर्बभूव ह । असंख्यानि फलान्येव स्वादूनि मधुराणि च
There were a hundred crore portions of rice and auspicious foods, and countless sweet and delicious fruits.
मधुकुल्या दुग्धकुल्या दधिकुल्या घृतस्य च । बभूवुः शतसंख्याश्च त्रैलोक्यानां च पूजने
Hundreds of streams of honey, milk, curd, and ghee flowed for the worship of the three worlds.
पूजां कृत्वा तु ते सर्वे समूषुश्च सुखासने । पार्वती परमप्रीत्या राधास्थानं समाययौ
After performing the worship, they all sat together on comfortable seats; Pārvatī, with supreme affection, approached the seat of Rādhā.
सा राधा पार्वतीं दृष्ट्वा समुत्थाय जवेन च । यथायोग्यां च संभाषां चकार सादरं मुदा
Seeing Pārvatī, Rādhā quickly rose, and with proper respect and joy, greeted her as was fitting.
आश्लेषणं चुम्बनं च बभूव च परस्परम् । उवाच मधुरं दुर्गा राधां कृत्वा स्ववक्षसि
There was mutual embracing and kissing; then Durgā sweetly spoke to Rādhā, holding her to her own breast.
पार्वत्युवाच किंवा प्रश्नं करिष्यामि त्वां राधा मङ्गलालयाम् । गता ते विरहज्वाला श्रीदाम्नः शापमोक्षणे
Pārvatī said: Rādhā, abode of auspiciousness, what question could I ask you? Has the pain of separation left you after the release from Śrīdāma’s curse?
सततं मन्मनः प्राणास्त्वय्येव मयि ते तथा । न ह्येवमावयोर्भेदः शक्तिपूरुषयोस्तथा
Always, my mind and life are fixed on you, as yours are on me; truly, there is no difference between us, the Power and the Person.
येत्वां निन्दन्ति मद्भक्तास्त्वद्भक्ताश्चापि मामपि । कुम्भीपाके च पज्यन्ते यावच्चन्द्र दिवाकरौ
Those of my devotees who revile you, and your devotees who revile me, will suffer in Kumbhīpāka as long as the moon and sun endure.
राधामाधवयोर्भेदं ये कुर्वन्ति नराधमाः । वंशहानिर्भवेत्तेषां पच्यन्ते नरके चिरम्
Those base men who create a division between Radha and Madhava will suffer the destruction of their lineage and will be tormented in hell for a long time.
यान्ति सूकरयोनिं च पितृभिः शतकैः सह । षष्टिवर्षसहस्राणि विष्ठायां कृमयस्तथा
They go to the womb of a pig, together with hundreds of their ancestors, and for six thousand years they become worms in excrement.
त्वयैव पूजितः पुत्रो न मया च गणेश्वरः । सर्वादौ सर्वपूज्योऽयं यथा तव तथा मम
O Lord of the Ganas, you alone have worshipped the son, not I; yet he is to be worshipped by all, at all times, just as by you, so also by me.
यावज्जीवनपर्यन्तं न विच्छेदो भविष्यति । राधामाधवयोर्देवि दुग्धधावल्ययोर्यथा
For as long as life endures, there will be no separation between Radha and Madhava, O Devi, just as with the two streams of milk.
सिद्धाश्रमे महातीर्थे पुण्यक्षेत्रे च भारते । निर्वघ्नं लभगोविन्दं संपूज्य विघ्नखण्डनम्
At Siddhashrama, the great holy place, and in the sacred land of Bharata, one attains Govinda without hindrance by worshipping the remover of obstacles.
रासेश्वरी त्वं रसिका श्रीकृष्णो रसिकेश्वरः । विदग्धाया विदग्धेन संगमो गुणवान्भदेत्
You are the mistress of rasa, and Krishna is the lord of rasa; the union of the clever with the clever is truly virtuous.
श्रीदाम्नः शापनिर्मुक्ता शतवर्षान्तरे सति । कुरुष्व मद्रेणाद्य कृष्णेन सह संगमम्
Freed from the curse of Sridama, after a hundred years have passed, unite today with Krishna, by my command.
ममाऽऽज्ञया दुर्लभया सुवेषं कुरु सुन्दरि । सुदुर्लभः कामिनीनां सत्पुंसा सह संगमः
By my rare command, O beautiful one, adorn yourself splendidly; the union of a virtuous man with a woman is exceedingly rare.
चक्रुः सुवेषं राधायाः प्रियाल्यश्च शिवाज्ञया । रत्नसिंहासने रम्ये वासयामासुरीश्वरीम्
Radha's dear friends, by Shiva's command, adorned her beautifully and seated the goddess upon a lovely jeweled throne.
पुरतो रत्नमाला सा रत्नमालां गले ददौ । राधाया दक्षिणे हस्ते क्रीडापद्मं मनोहरम्
In front of her, Ratnamala placed a jeweled garland around her neck, and in Radha's right hand, a charming lotus for play.
ददौ पद्ममुखी पादपद्मयुग्मेऽप्यलक्तकम् । प्रददौ सुन्दरी गोपी सिन्दूरं सुन्दरं वरम्
Padmamukhi gave red dye to Radha's pair of lotus feet, and the beautiful Gopi bestowed fine, auspicious vermilion.
चन्दनेन समयुतं सीमन्ताधः स्थलोज्ज्वलम् । सुचारुकबरीं रम्यां चकार मालती सती
With sandalwood, she made a bright line beneath the parting of her hair, and Sati fashioned her lovely, charming braid with jasmine flowers.
