नैवेद्य विविधं रम्यं सुस्वादु सुमनोहरम् । चोष्यं चर्व्यं लेह्यपेये सुधातुल्यं चतुर्विधम्
She offered a variety of delightful, delicious, and captivating foods—those to be sucked, chewed, licked, and drunk, four kinds, comparable to nectar.
फलानि च सुपक्वानि त्रैलोक्ये दुर्लभानि च । मधुराणि च मूलानि ग्राम्यारण्यानि नारद
O Nārada, she gave perfectly ripe fruits, rare in the three worlds, as well as sweet roots from village and forest.
तानि त्वन्यान्यसंख्यानि तिलानां लड्डुकानि च । लड्डुकानि सुपक्वानि स्वादूनि सुरसानि च
She also gave countless other items, including sesame sweets—well-cooked, tasty, and flavorful balls.
यवगोधूमचूर्णानां पक्वानि पिष्टकानि च । घृताक्तानि च रम्याणि शर्करासहितानि च
She offered cakes made from barley and wheat flour, cooked and delightful, coated with ghee and mixed with sugar.
स्वास्तिकानां लड्डुकानि स्थूलानि सुन्दराणि च । भृष्टद्रव्यं च विविधमक्षतं शर्करान्वितम्
She presented large, beautiful balls of auspicious sweets, as well as various roasted, unbroken items combined with sugar.
घृतकुल्यां दुग्धकुलयां मधुकुल्यं मनोहराम् । गुडस्य दध्नः कुल्यां च पायसानां तथैव च
She gave charming sweets made from ghee, milk, honey, jaggery, curd, and also rice pudding.
पिष्टकानां स्वस्तिकानां रम्भाणां राशिरेव च । मिष्टव्यञ्जनयुक्तानि शाल्यन्नानि शुभानि च
She offered heaps of cakes, auspicious sweets, and bananas, along with rice dishes prepared with sweet condiments.
ददौ तस्मै सुरेशाय कृष्णप्राणाधिदेवता । अमूल्यरत्ननिर्माणं रम्यं सिंहासनं वरम्
The goddess, whose life is devoted to Kṛṣṇa, gave the lord of the gods a splendid throne, crafted from priceless jewels.
ददौ विघ्नपिनाशाय विराजतटवासिनी । सूक्ष्मवस्त्रयुगं रम्यममूल्यं वह्निशुद्धकम्
The goddess residing in the radiant grove gave to the remover of obstacles a beautiful pair of fine garments, priceless and purified by fire.
ददौ शैलात्मजायैव शतशृङ्गनिवासिनी । विशुद्धसर्पिषा युक्तं निर्मलं मधुरं मधु
The goddess dwelling on the hundred-peaked mountain gave to the daughter of the mountain pure, sweet honey mixed with clarified butter.
मधुपर्कं ददौ तस्मै वृन्दावननिवासिनी । ताम्बूलं च वरं रम्यं कर्पूरादिसुवासितम्
Vṛndāvananivāsinī gave him honey mixed with milk and other ingredients, and also excellent, charming betel leaves scented with camphor and other fragrances.
सर्वसंपत्प्रदात्रे च वृषभानसुता ददौ । सप्ततीर्थोदकं शुद्धं सुसितं सुवासितम्
Vṛṣabhānasutā, the giver of all prosperity, offered pure, cool, and fragrant water from seventy sacred places.
पानार्थ च जलं तस्मै ददौ गौपोश्वरी मुदा । अमूल्यं दुर्लभं चैव विशुद्धं श्वेतचामरम्
Gaupośvarī joyfully gave him water for drinking, and also a priceless, rare, pure white yak-tail fan.
ददौ तस्मै परेशाय मूलप्रकृतिरीश्वरी । अमूल्यरत्ननिर्माणं मुक्तामाणिक्यहीरकैः
The primal goddess, ruler of creation, gave him a seat made from priceless jewels—pearls, rubies, and diamonds.
परिष्कृतं सुतल्पं च पुष्पचन्दनचर्चितम् । सितसूक्ष्माशुकेनैव परितश्च परिष्कृतम्
A well-adorned, beautiful bed, anointed with flowers and sandalwood, was decorated all around with fine, white, delicate cloth.
ददौ शिवात्मजायैव कृष्णवक्षःस्थलस्थिता । दत्त्वा च कामधेनुं च सवत्सां वाञ्छितप्रदाम्
She, standing at Krishna’s chest, gave it to the daughter of Shiva, and after giving, she also presented a wish-fulfilling cow with her calf, bestower of all desires.
कृत्वाऽतीव परीहारं वृन्दा पुष्पाञ्जलिं ददौ । दिव्येन मूल्मनुना सबीजेनोज्ज्वलेन च
Vṛndā, having performed great reverence, offered a handful of flowers, reciting the divine root-mantra, complete with seed and brilliance.
ददौ षोडशोपचारं कालिन्दीकुलवासिनी । ॐ गं गौं गणपतये विघ्नविनाशिने स्वाहा
The goddess dwelling on the banks of the Yamunā offered the sixteenfold worship, reciting: 'Oṃ gaṃ gauṃ, to Gaṇapati, destroyer of obstacles, svāhā.'
इत्येवमेव मन्त्रं च गाणेशं षोडशाक्षरम् । सा जजाप सहस्रं च परं सल्पतरुं वरम्
Thus, she recited this sixteen-syllabled mantra to Gaṇeśa a thousand times, seeking the supreme boon, the wish-fulfilling tree.
तुष्टाव परया भक्त्या भक्तिनम्रात्मकंधरा । साश्रुनेत्रा पुलकिता स्तोत्रेण कौथुमेन च
With supreme devotion, her head bowed in humility, eyes filled with tears, and her body thrilled, she praised him with the hymn of Kauthuma.
राधिकोवाच परं धाम परं ब्रह्म परेशं परमेश्वरम् । विघ्ननिघ्नकरं शान्तं पुष्टं कान्तमनन्तकम्
Rādhikā said: The supreme abode, the supreme Brahman, the highest Lord, the greatest God, destroyer of obstacles, peaceful, nourished, beloved, and endless.
सुरासुरेन्द्रैः सिद्धेन्द्रैः स्तुतं स्तौमि परात्परम् । सुरपद्मदिनेशं च गणेशं मङ्गलायनम्
Praised by the lords of gods and demons, by the perfected ones, I praise the Supreme of the supreme, Gaṇeśa, lord of the gods, source of auspiciousness, ruler of the gods, and lord of the day-lotus.
इदं स्तोत्रं महापुण्यं विघ्नशोकहरं परम् । यः पठेत्प्रातरुत्थाय सर्वविघ्नात्प्रमुच्यते
This hymn, supremely meritorious and remover of obstacles and sorrow—whoever recites it upon rising in the morning is freed from all obstacles.
इति श्रीब्रह्मo महाo श्रीकृष्णजन्मखo उत्तo नारदनाo त्रयोविंशत्य- धिकशततमोऽध्योयः
Thus ends the one hundred twenty-third chapter of the glorious Brahma Vaivarta Purāṇa, in the section concerning the birth of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, in the conversation with Nārada.
अथ चतुर्विंशत्यधिकशततमोऽध्योयः नालायण उवाच राधा संपूज्य विधिना स्तुत्वा लम्बोदरं सती । अमूल्यरत्ननिर्माणं सर्वाङ्गभूषणं ददौ
Now, the one hundred twenty-fourth chapter. Nārāyaṇa said: Rādhā, having worshipped and praised Lambodara according to the proper rite, gave ornaments for every limb, made of priceless jewels.
राधायाः स्तवनं श्रुत्वा पूजां दृष्ट्वा च वस्तु च । उवाच मधुरं शान्तः शान्तां त्रैलोक्यमातरम्
Hearing Rādhā’s hymn, seeing her worship and the gift, he, peaceful, spoke sweetly to the tranquil mother of the three worlds.
गणेश उवाच तव पूजा जगन्मातर्लोकशिक्षाकरी शुभे । ब्रह्मस्वरूपा भवती कृष्णवक्षः स्थलस्थिता
Gaṇeśa said: Your worship, O Mother of the Universe, is the teacher of the worlds, O auspicious one; you are the embodiment of Brahman, abiding at Krishna’s chest.
यत्पादपद्मतुलं ध्यायन्ते ते सुदुर्लभम् । सुरा ब्रह्मेशशेषाद्या मुनीन्द्राः सनकादयः
That which is as rare as the lotus feet you possess is meditated upon by gods, Brahmā, Śeṣa, and others, by the great sages such as Sanaka.
जीवन्मुक्ताश्च भक्ताश्च सिद्धेन्द्राः कपिलादयः । तस्य प्राणाधिदेवी त्वं प्रिया प्राणाधिका परा
The liberated while living, the devotees, the perfected ones like Kapila—all meditate thus; you are the presiding goddess of his life-breath, beloved, dearer than life, supreme.
वामाङ्गनिर्मिता राधा दक्षिणाङ्गश्च माधवः । महालक्ष्मीर्जगन्माता तव वामाङ्गनिर्मिता
Rādhā was formed from the left side, Mādhava from the right; Mahālakṣmī, mother of the universe, was created from your left side.
