स्वयं पुमान्स्वयं स्त्री च स्वयमेव नपुंसकः । कारणं च स्वयं कार्यं जन्यश्च जनकः स्वयम्
You are yourself male, yourself female, and yourself neuter; you are yourself the cause, the effect, the offspring, and the progenitor.
यन्त्रस्य च गुणो दोषो यन्त्रिणश्च श्रुतौश्रुतम् । सर्वे यन्त्रा भवान्यन्त्री त्वयि सर्वं प्रतिष्ठितम्
The merit and fault of the instrument, the knowledge and ignorance of the operator— all instruments, O Lord, are yours; in you, everything is established.
मम क्षमस्वापराधं मूढस्य द्वारिणस्तव । ब्रह्मशापात्कुबुद्धेश्च रक्ष रक्ष जगद्गुरो
Forgive my offense, O Lord, as I, deluded, stood at your door; from the curse of Brahmā and my own evil mind, protect me, O Teacher of the world.
इत्येवमुक्त्वा क्रमतो जयो विजय एव च । मुदा तौ ययतुः शीघ्रं वैकुण्ठद्वारमीप्सितम्
Having thus spoken in order, Jaya and Vijaya, filled with joy, swiftly went to the desired gate of Vaikuṇṭha.
शिशुपालस्य स्तोत्रेण सर्वे ते विस्मयं ययुः । परिपूर्णतमं कृत्वा मेनिरे कृष्णमीश्वरम्
By Śiśupāla's hymn, all those present were amazed; recognizing Kṛṣṇa as the Supreme Lord, perfect in every way.
कारयित्वा राजसूयं भोजयामास ब्राह्मणान् । कुरुपाण्डवयुद्धं च कारयामास भेदतः
Having performed the Rājasūya, he fed the brāhmaṇas; and he caused the war between the Kurus and Pāṇḍavas by means of division.
भुवो भारावतरणं चकार स कृपानिधिः । पुनर्ययौ द्वारकां च चिरं स्थित्वा नृपाज्ञया
He, the ocean of compassion, relieved the burden of the earth; then, by the king's command, he returned to Dvārakā and remained there for a long time.
विप्राया मृतवत्साया जीवयामास पुत्रकान् । मृतस्थानात्समानीय तन्मात्रे प्रददौ सुतान्
He revived the sons of a Brāhmaṇa woman whose children had died, bringing them from the realm of the dead and giving them to their mother.
तद्दृष्ट्वा देवकी तुष्टा ययाचे मृतपुत्रकान् । मृतस्थानात्समानीय ददौ मात्रे सहोदरान्
Seeing this, Devakī was pleased and requested her deceased sons; he brought them from the realm of the dead and gave them to their mother as siblings.
सद्यो जहार दारिद्र्यं सुदाम्नो ब्राह्मणस्य च । समागतस्य स्वगृहाद्द्वारकां शरणार्थिनः
He immediately removed the poverty of Sudāmā, the Brāhmaṇa, who had come to his house in Dvārakā seeking refuge.
तस्मै ददौ राजलक्ष्मीं निश्चलां साप्तपौरुषीम् । पृथुकानां कणं भुक्त्वा भक्तस्य भक्तवत्सलः
To him, the Lord gave unwavering royal fortune, seven generations' worth; having eaten a handful of flattened rice, he, who cherishes his devotees, bestowed this.
बभूव तस्य राज्यं च यथेन्द्रस्यामरावती । यथा धनेश्वरो देवो धनाढ्यः स बभुव ह
His kingdom became like Indra's Amarāvatī; just as the god of wealth is rich, so Sudāmā became wealthy.
निश्चलां हरिभक्तिं च ददौ दास्यं सृदुर्लभम् । अविनाशिनि गोलोके यथेष्टं पदमुत्तमम्
He granted unwavering devotion to Hari and the rare service of the Lord, as well as the supreme, desired, imperishable position in Goloka.
जहार पारिजातं च शक्राहंकारमेव च । सत्यां च कारयामास पुण्यकं व्रतमीप्सितम् ।। १३३.
He took the Pārijāta tree and destroyed Indra's pride; he enabled Satyā to perform the desired virtuous vow.
वर्धयामास सर्वत्र नित्यं नैमित्तिकं मुने । तत्र व्रते कुमाराय स्वात्मानं दक्षिणां ददौ ।। १३३.
He increased everywhere the constant and occasional rites, O sage; in that vow, he gave himself as a gift to Kumāra.
ब्रह्माणान्भोजयामास तेभ्यो रत्नं ददौ मुदा । सत्यभामातिमानं च वर्धयामास सर्वतः ।। १३३.
He fed the Brāhmaṇas and joyfully gave them jewels; he increased Satyabhāmā's pride in every way.
रुक्मिण्या अतिसौभाग्यमन्यासां च नवं नवम् । वैष्णवानां सुराणां च विप्रणामपि पूजनम् ।। १३३.
He bestowed great fortune upon Rukmiṇī and ever-new blessings upon the others; he honored the Vaiṣṇavas, the gods, and even the Brāhmaṇas.
वर्धयामास सर्वत्र नित्यं नैमित्तिकं मुने । परमाध्यात्मिकं ज्ञानमुद्धवाय ददौ प्रभुः ।। १३३.
He increased everywhere the constant and occasional rites, O sage; to Uddhava, the Lord gave supreme spiritual knowledge.
अर्जुनं कथयामास गीतां च रणमूर्धनि । कृत्वा निष्कण्टकं चैव कृपया च कृपानिधिः ।। १३३.
He recited the Gītā to Arjuna on the battlefield; out of compassion, he made the realm free from thorns.
युधिष्ठिराय पृथिवीराज्यलक्ष्मीं ददौ प्रभुः । दुर्गां च पूजयामास वैष्मवीं ग्रामदेवताम्
To Yudhiṣṭhira, the Lord gave the royal fortune of the earth; he worshipped Durgā, the Vaiṣṇavī village goddess.
यज्ञं च कारयामास कोटिहोमान्वितं शुफम् । नानाप्रकारनैवेद्यैर्द्यूपदीपैर्मनोहरैः
He performed a sacrifice accompanied by millions of fire offerings, auspicious and adorned with various offerings and delightful lamps.
ब्राह्मणान्भोजयामास पार्वतीप्रीतये तथा । रैवते पर्वते रम्ये चामूल्यरत्नमन्दिरे
He fed the Brāhmaṇas for the pleasure of Pārvatī, in the beautiful temple of priceless jewels on Mount Raivata.
गणेशं पूजयामास देवानामीश्वरं परम् । लड्डुकानां तिलानां च सुस्वादुसुमनोहरम्
He worshipped Gaṇeśa, the supreme lord of the gods, with delicious and fragrant sweets made of sesame.
परिपुष्टं पञ्चलक्षं नैवेद्यं च ददौ मुदा । लड्डुकं स्वस्तिकानां च सप्तलक्षं सुधोपमम्
He joyfully offered five hundred thousand nourishing sweets as offerings, and seven hundred thousand excellent sweets shaped like svastikas.
गणेश्वराय प्रददौ शर्कराशतराशिकम् । पक्वरम्भाफलानां च दशलक्षमपूपकम्
He offered to the lord of the Gaṇas a hundred thousand measures of sugar, and ten lakhs of sweet cakes made from ripe mangoes.
मिष्टान्नं पायसं रम्यं स्वादु स्वस्तिकपिष्टकम् । घृतं च नवनीतं च दधि दुग्धं सुधोपमम्
He gave delicious sweet rice, delightful pāyasa, tasty svastika flour, as well as ghee, fresh butter, curd, and milk, all of the finest quality.
धूपं दीपं पारिजातपुष्पमाल्यमभीप्सितम् । सुगन्धि चन्दनं गन्धं वह्निशुद्धाशुके ददौ
He presented incense, lamps, the desired garland of pārijāta flowers, fragrant sandalwood, perfumes, and pure fire-offerings.
यज्ञं च कारयामास कोटिहोमान्वितं शुभम् । ब्राह्मणान्भोजयामास तुष्टाव स गणेश्वरम्
He performed a yajña, accompanied by a crore of sacred homa offerings, auspiciously; he fed the brāhmaṇas and praised the lord of the Gaṇas.
वाद्यं दशविधं चैव वादयामास तत्र वै । सूर्यं च पूजयामास साम्बः कुष्ठक्षयाय च
He had ten kinds of musical instruments played there; he worshipped the Sun, and also Sāmba, for the cure of leprosy.
हविष्यं कारयामास तं च साम्बंसमातरम् । परिबूर्ण वत्सरं चाप्युपहारैरनुत्त्मैः वरं ददौ च साम्बाय स्तोत्रं च भास्करः स्वयम्
He prepared offerings for the sacrifice, for Sāmba and his mother, throughout the full year, with the finest gifts; Bhāskara himself granted a boon to Sāmba and a hymn.
