परितश्चतुरस्रां च शतयोजनसंमिताम् । सप्तभिः परिखाभिश्च गम्भीराभिश्च वेष्टिताम्

प्राकारैर्नवभिर्युक्तां लक्षैः क्रीडासरोवरैः । मनोहरैः सपद्मैश्च सहितैश्च मधुव्रतैः
It was furnished with nine ramparts and adorned with hundreds of thousands of delightful lotus-filled pleasure-lakes, accompanied by swarms of bees.

It was adorned with guvaka trees, four times as many as the coconuts, and with mango trees in the same fourfold measure.
परीतां पनसानां च वृक्षैराम्रसमैर्मुने । सुशोभितां च तालानां द्रुमैराम्रसमैर्मुने
It was surrounded by jackfruit trees and by mango trees, O sage, and splendid with palm trees and more mango trees, O sage.
अश्वत्थैर्बदरीभिश्च बिल्वैराम्रातकैर्वटैः । शाल्मलीभिश्च जम्बूभिः कदम्बैश्चापि शोभिताम्
It was beautified by peepal, jujube, bael, āmrātaka, banyan, silk-cotton, rose-apple, and kadamba trees.
वंशैश्च तिन्तिडीभिश्च चम्पकैर्बकुलैस्तथा । नागेश्वरैर्नागरङ्गैर्जम्बीरैर्दाडिमैर्युताम्
It was endowed with bamboo, tamarind, campaka, bakula, nāgeshvara, nāgaraṅga, citron, and pomegranate trees.
खर्जुरैरर्जुनैः पिष्टैरिक्षुभिः काञ्चनैरपि । हरीतकीभिर्धात्रीभिरिन्दुभिः परितः प्लुताम्
It was surrounded by date palms, arjuna, piṣṭa, sugarcane, golden bamboo, harītakī, dhātrī, and moon-like trees on all sides.
शालैः प्रियालैर्हिन्तालैः शिरीषैः सप्तपर्णकैः । अन्यैर्नानाद्रुमैरिष्टैरिष्टां युक्तां परिप्लुताम्
It was filled with śāla, priyāla, hintāla, śirīṣa, saptaparṇa, and many other desirable trees, making it most pleasing and abundant.
असंख्यैर्मन्दिरै रम्यैरत्युच्चैरपि संस्कृताम् । रत्नेन्द्रसारनिर्माणैर्मुक्तामाणिक्यभूषितैः
It was adorned with countless splendid mansions, towering high, constructed from the finest jewels and sandalwood, and decorated with pearls and rubies.
माणिक्यहीरकैश्चित्रैः सद्रत्नकलशान्वितैः । मणिभिर्निर्मितैरिष्टैः सोपाननिकरैर्वरैः
It was furnished with wondrous rubies and diamonds, with auspicious jewel-studded pitchers, and with beautiful stairways made of precious stones.
कपाटैः कठिनैर्दव्यैरर्गलाकीलकैर्युताम् । हरिन्मणीनां स्तम्भानां कदम्बैरपि संयुतैः
It was equipped with strong, firm doors, secured by bars and bolts, and with pillars of emerald in rows, like clusters of kadamba flowers.
नानाचित्रैर्विचित्रैश्च सुचित्रैश्च परिष्कृतैः । दर्पणैः सूक्ष्मवस्त्रैश्च शोभितैः श्वेतचामरैः
It was adorned with various marvelous and exquisite decorations, with mirrors, fine cloths, and shining white fans.
प्राङ्गणैः पद्मरागाद्यरिन्द्रनीलपरिष्कृताम् । वीथीभी रत्नखचितैराजमार्गैः समन्विताम्
Its courtyards were embellished with padmarāga and indranīla gems, and it was furnished with streets inlaid with jewels and royal avenues.

Kinnara women who are dancers, singers, musicians, beggars, performers, learned men, and astrologers—
नानादेशो द्भवा भूपा वैद्याश्चान्ये च मानवाः । संन्यासिनश्च यतयोऽवधूता ब्रह्मचारिणः
Kings born in various lands, physicians, other men, renunciants, ascetics, avadhūtas, and celibates—
आययुर्मुनयः सर्वे सशिष्याः सिद्धपुंगवाः । सनकश्च सनन्दश्च त्तीयश्च सनातनः
All the sages arrived with their disciples, the foremost of the perfected beings, as well as Sanaka, Sananda, and the third, Sanātana—
सनत्कुमारो भगवाञ्ज्ञानिनां च गुरोर्गुरुः । शिष्यैस्त्रिकोटिभिः सार्ध पञ्चवर्षा दिगम्बरः
