In the Vedas, in the Kauthumi branch, there is a thousand-name hymn of his, called the 'Names of Nandanandana'; in the age of Krita, its recitation is rarely hindered.
Hearing all this, Uddhava was filled with the utmost wonder; having attained complete knowledge, he became utterly fulfilled.
Binding his own garment around his neck, he repeatedly bowed down like a staff, and again and again touched her feet with the hair of his head.
With every limb bristling and eyes filled with tears of devotion, he wept loudly, O Narada, in the pain of separation and out of love.
Rādhā wept with that love, the cowherd women wept as well; grasping Uddhava's neck, they held him back out of longing.
Seeing Uddhava fainted, unconscious and collapsed, Rādhikā quickly revived the mind of Krishna within him.
She restored his consciousness by sprinkling water on his lotus-like face, and gave him auspicious blessings, saying, 'Child, may you live,' O Narada.
Regaining consciousness, Uddhava spoke in that noble assembly, imparting the highest truth before the weeping gopīs.
Uddhava said: 'Blessed and renowned among the continents is Jambudvīpa, most rare; within it, Bhāratavarṣa is the supreme boon desired by all.'
Ah, in Bhāratavarṣa, the sacred forest of Vṛndāvana is purified by the dust from the touch of Rādhā's lotus feet, longed for even by the gods.
Blessed and honored is the earth, worshipped in all three worlds, for she is sanctified by the dust of Rādhā's lotus feet, the best of holy places.
For sixty thousand divine years in Puṣkara, long ago, Brahmā performed austerities as prescribed in the Vedas, with devotion.
In Goloka, desiring to see Rādhikā and Krishna, he did not behold Rādhikā and Krishna there, not even in a dream at that time.
Then he heard a voice from the sky, true in form and playful, saying: 'In the holy forest of Vṛndāvana, in the land of Bhāratavarṣa, in the Varāha age...'
'At the festival of the rāsa, in that supremely delightful circle of the rāsa dance, you will see them among the gods, without doubt, and in good health.'
Hearing this, Brahmā ceased his austerities and returned to his own abode; he saw Krishna and was delighted, his every wish fulfilled.
The birth and life of the cowherds and cowherd women are fruitful, for they always behold Your lotus feet, which are rare even for Brahma and the other gods.
The noble ones, along with the foremost yogis, sages, perfected beings, and Vaishnavas, constantly serve proud Radhika at all times.
She is chaste, virtuous, purified by holy places, inherently pure, extremely rare, yet her lotus feet are easily attained—though exceedingly difficult for Brahma and the others.
Her lotus feet bear the mark of barley grains, made by the nails of Krishna, the Supreme Lord of all lords.
Krishna Himself, in the circle of the rasa dance at Goloka, performed her worship and recited the rarest king of hymns at Shata-shringa.
He offered an anjali of parijata blossoms, fragrant sandal paste, tender blades of durva grass, and rice grains at her lotus feet.
She is the sovereign of thirty trillion gopis, and also the ruler of her thirty-six companions, known by the name Radhika.
Those who hate, revile, or mock Radhika—the supreme goddess dearer to Krishna than life—are sinners.
They incur the sin of killing a hundred Brahmins—of this there is no doubt—and by that sin they are tormented in the hells Kumbhipaka and Raurava.
They suffer in blazing oil, in dreadful darkness, as insects in machines, confined by the fourteen lords, together with their seven ancestors.
After that, they are born again, once, among mortals, and for a thousand divine years, because of their sin, they are born as worms in excrement.
They are born as worms in the wombs of unchaste women, feeding on blood and filth, and as worms in filth, eating pus for a human lifespan.
In the Kanva branch of the Veda, so says the lotus-born Brahma. As he was saying this and departing, Radhika, weeping and distressed by separation from Krishna, spoke again.
Radhika said: Go, child, to Mathura and inform Madhava of everything. Do whatever is necessary so that I may see Govinda.
