I have come into your presence; I am an attendant even of Hari, of Krishna, of Baladeva, and now also of Shiva and Nanda.
Radhika said: There is indeed that bank of the Yamuna, where the breeze is fragrant; at the root of those kadamba trees for play, it is present now.
That sacred and delightful Vrindavana exists there, just as desired; the songs of male cuckoos are heard, and the couch is anointed with sandalwood.
There are four kinds of food and beautiful honeyed drinks; yet, relentless and causing sorrow, the most sinful Kamadeva is also present.
There, jeweled lamps shine in the circle of the rasa dance; a temple of love, fashioned from the essence of the best jewels, is indeed present.
There is a multitude of cowherd maidens, and the full moon shines splendidly; the couch is adorned with fragrant flowers and anointed with sandalwood.
There is betel, fit for the enjoyment of love, expertly prepared with camphor and other fine ingredients; fragrant garlands of jasmine, a white yak-tail fan, and a mirror.
There are enchanting necklaces of pearls, rubies, and diamonds; and sandalwood, mixed with musk and saffron, fills the vessels.
There are many delightful groves, and lovely lakes for play; gardens of fragrant flowers, and rows of charming lotuses.
All such wealth exists, but where is my Lord of life? Alas, Krishna! Alas, Lord of Rama! Where are you, my beloved of the soul?
Where is the fault of the maidservant, and what is the error of the servant at every step? Having spoken thus, that goddess again fell into a swoon.
Then Uddhava revived her consciousness once more; seeing her, the foremost of the Kshatriyas was filled with the utmost wonder.
Attended constantly by seven companions with white yak-tail fans, and served with affection by three hundred thousand gopis.
Day and night she is surrounded by billions of gopis; one holds a vessel of collyrium, another brings excellent garlands.
One holds a vessel of vermilion, another has yellow pigment; one stands holding a vessel of sandalwood paste in her hand.

One carries a ball, another a jeweled ornament; yet another carefully keeps a priceless garment purified by fire.
One moves about carrying offerings of food; another makes a garland, her heart set on adorning Keśava.

One stands in front holding a mirror; one has sprouted grains in her hand, and another joyfully holds a bowl of curd.
Even from afar, one carries on in this way, standing in fear; one, frightened, praises, while another weeps in sorrow.
One, clever, tries to awaken her who is tormented by separation; another, scorched by distress, lies on a lovely, soft bed.
To ease her burning pain, one places her on a soft, beautiful lotus leaf; seeing her in such a state, Uddhava again spoke.
Uddhava said: I know you as the goddess of gods, supremely affectionate, a perfected yogini, the very embodiment of all powers, the sovereign of the primal energy.
By Śrīdāma's curse you have come to earth, though you long for Goloka; you are the goddess whose life is dearer than life to Kṛṣṇa, dwelling upon his chest.
Listen, O goddess, I will tell you the auspicious news you desire, which will bring lasting joy to your heart and to your companions.
To you, scorched by the forest fire of sorrow and afflicted by the disease of separation, this news will be like a shower of nectar, a healing elixir.
There, Nanda remains, always joyful and radiant, invited by Vasudeva, until Kṛṣṇa is brought back.
