तत्तेजः कस्य नाश्चर्य्यं ध्यायन्ते पुरुषं विना
Whose is that radiance not a wonder, when they meditate without the Person?
ध्यायन्ते वैष्णवास्तस्मात्तत्र रूपं मनोहरम्
Therefore, the Vaishnavas meditate there on a captivating form.
तत्तेजोमण्डलाकारे सूर्य्यकोटिसमप्रभे 1.28.
In the shape of a circle of light, shining like ten million suns.
लक्षकोट्या योजनानां चतुरस्रं मनोहरम्
A beautiful square, measuring a hundred million yojanas.
सुदृश्यं वर्तुलाकारं यथा चन्द्रस्य मण्डलम्
Clearly visible, circular in shape, like the disc of the moon.
ऊर्ध्वं च नित्यवैकुण्ठात्पञ्चाशत्कोटियोजनम्
Fifty million yojanas above the eternal Vaikuntha.
कामधेनुभिराकीर्णं रासमण्डलमण्डितम्
Filled with wish-fulfilling cows, adorned with the circle of the rasa dance.
शतशृङ्गं शातकुम्भैः सुदीप्तं श्रीमदीप्सितम् ।। । लक्षकोट्या परिमितैराश्रमैः सुमनोहरैः
With a hundred peaks, brilliantly shining with golden domes, most splendid and desired; measured by a hundred million delightful hermitages.
शतमन्दिरसंयुक्तमाश्रमं सुमनोहरम्
A most beautiful hermitage, joined with a hundred temples.
कौस्तुभेन्द्रेण मणिना राजितं परमोज्ज्वलम्
Adorned and supremely radiant with the Kaustubha gem.
मणीन्द्रसाररचितैः कपाटैर्दर्पणान्वितैः
With doors made from the essence of the best jewels, fitted with mirrors.
षोडशद्वारसंयुक्तं सुदीप्तं रत्नदीपकैः
Fitted with sixteen gates, brilliantly lit by jeweled lamps.
नानाचित्रविचित्राढ्ये वसन्तं वरमीश्वरम् 1.28.
There dwells the supreme Lord, endowed with wondrous and various ornaments.
शरन्मध्याह्नमार्त्तण्डप्रभामोचकलोचनम्
With eyes shining like the midday autumn sun.
कोटिकन्दर्पलावण्यलीलानिन्दितमन्मथम्
He whose playfulness and beauty put to shame even a hundred million Cupids.
सस्मितं मुरलीहस्तं सुप्रशस्तं सुमङ्गलम्
Smiling, holding the flute, supremely praised and most auspicious.
चन्दनोक्षितसर्वांगं कौस्तुभेन विराजितम्
His entire body anointed with sandalwood, adorned with the Kaustubha gem.
त्रिभङ्गभङ्ग्या संयुक्तं मणिमाणिक्यभूषितम्
Endowed with the graceful tribhaṅga pose, decorated with jewels and rubies.
रत्नकेयूरवलयरत्नमञ्जीररञ्जितम्
Adorned with gem-studded armlets, bracelets, and anklets.
मुक्तापङ्क्तिसदृक्षाभदशनं सुमनोहरम्
His enchanting teeth resemble rows of pearls.
वीक्षितं गोपिकाभिश्च वेष्टिताभिस्समन्ततः
Beheld by the gopīs and surrounded by them on all sides.
भूषिताभिश्च सद्रत्ननिर्मितैर्भूषणैः परम्
Also adorned by them with excellent ornaments made of precious gems.
ब्रह्मविष्णुशिवानन्तधर्माद्यैर्वन्दितं मुदा 1.28.
Joyfully worshipped by Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Śiva, Ananta, Dharma, and others.
रासेश्वरं सुरसिकं राधावक्षस्थलस्थितम्
The lord of the rāsa dance, delight of the gods, resting upon Rādhā’s bosom.
सततं ध्येयमस्माकं परमात्मानमीश्वरम्
He, the Supreme Self and Lord, is always to be meditated upon by us.
स्वेच्छामयं निर्गुणं च निरीहं प्रकृतेः परम्
He is formed of his own will, without qualities, without desire, beyond nature.
सर्वेश्वरं सर्वपूज्यं सर्वसिद्धिकरं प्रदम्
The Lord of all, worshipped by all, bestower of all accomplishments and boons.
गोपवेषश्च गोपालैः पार्षदैः परिवेष्टितः
Clad as a cowherd, encircled by cowherd companions.
सर्वान्तरात्मा सर्वत्र प्रत्यक्षः सर्वगः स्मृतः सर्वात्मा च परं ब्रह्म तेन कृष्णः प्रकीर्तितः
He is the inner self of all, present everywhere, all-pervading and manifest; the soul of all and the supreme Brahman—thus he is called Kṛṣṇa.
कृषिश्च सर्ववचनो नकारश्चादिवाचकः
‘Kṛ’ is the universal syllable, and ‘ṣṇa’ is the primal sound.
