She is the very form of the support of all; by her portion, she is the earth; by her portion, Tulasī and Gaṅgā; by her portion, all women.
O dear one, by her power I create the world again and again; seeing her in the midst of the dance, my play—
O dear one, that play continued for a long time, for a hundred years of Brahmā; it was most wondrous, astonishing, and filled with supreme passion.
From those two, a stream of virtue flowed in the circle of the dance; from that, a most enchanting, formless lake was born.
A stream of virtue fell below with force into the cosmic sphere; it became filled with water, forming the globe of the universes.
Formerly, O lord of Vraja, when all was filled with water and creation was absent, at the end of the play, I deposited my seed there.
Rādhā bore the embryo for a hundred years of Brahmā; at the end, she brought forth a most wondrous child.
Seeing that, the goddess became angry, she wept and was distressed; with her foot, she cast it down into the cosmic sphere below.
O dear one, the great Virāṭ, the universal support, fell into the waters; seeing her child in the water, she, whom I had formerly cursed—
That Rāthā, O Lord, was rendered childless by my curse in the past; therefore, in due order, Durgā, Lakṣmī, and Sarasvatī were born from her.
Those four goddesses were born, each complete in herself; and certainly, other goddesses and desirous women were also born, O king of Vraja.
Of those, some were born from a portion, some from a fraction of a portion, or by a portion of a portion, O Vraja; the great Virāṭ was born by a portion, taking shelter in an egg.
He drank the nectar of immortality from the thumb, which I gave; remaining in the water in an immobile form, he lay there according to his own karma.
By the power of his yoga, the water became his bed and support; from his pores, wells filled with water continually arose.
In each of those, in due order, the small Virāṭ lay again; from the navel of the small one, a thousand-petaled lotus was born.
There, the excellent Brahmā was born; thus, he is called 'lotus-born.' There, manifesting, that creator became absorbed in thought.
"From where is this body? Where is my mother, my father, or my kin?" For three hundred thousand divine years, he wandered within the lotus.
Then, for five hundred thousand divine years, he remembered me with austerity; at that time, he recited the mantra I had given him, within the lotus.
For seven hundred thousand divine years, with discipline, restraint, and purity, then, having obtained a boon from me, he became the creator and performed creation.
By māyā, within each universe, those of the nature of Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and Śiva; the guardians of the directions, the twelve suns, and also the eleven Rudras—
The nine planets, the eight Vasus, and the gods, three crores in number; Brāhmaṇas, Kṣatriyas, Vaiśyas, Śūdras, Yakṣas, Gandharvas, and Kinnaras—
Beings such as Bhūtas and Rākṣasas, thus all moving and non-moving things; the various worlds, the seven heavens in order—
The earth with seven continents joined with seven oceans; the golden land and also the region filled with darkness—
And likewise the seven netherworlds, and thus the universe with these; the various worlds, the moon, the sun, and the sacred land of Bhārata—
All these holy places, O king of Vraja, including the Gaṅgā and others, are as numerous as the pores on the body of the great Viṣṇu, in due order.
Indeed, O king, as many as there are, so many worlds exist, countless and certainly; above all these is Vaikuṇṭha, which is without support.
The Vedas, created by my will, are unable to describe; they are seen by false yogis and certainly by those who lack devotion.
Therefore, above is Goloka, fifty crore yojanas high, sustained by the wind, wondrous and the supreme abode.
Its creation is exceedingly delightful, eternal in form by my will, with a mountain of a hundred peaks and the sacred Vrindavana.
Joined with the circle of gods and the river Viraja, vast as a crore yojanas in breadth, Viraja flows through Vraja.
