The Blessed Lord said: A man who does not support his father, mother, teacher who gives knowledge and mantras, as long as he lives, is impure.
Among all those worthy of reverence, the father is to be honored as the great teacher; but the mother is a hundred times greater than the father for bearing and nourishing the child.
The mother is like the earth and more precious than all; there is no greater friend than the mother on the face of the world.
The teacher who gives knowledge and mantras is superior even to the mother; according to the Veda, there is no one more worthy of honor and worship than he.

Some are born from the wives of Brahmins, some among Kshatriyas, some from Vaishyas, some in Shudra wombs, some in animal births, and some among beasts and others.
By my own maya, all are joyful in sense pleasures; but at the time of death, and at the separation from relatives, they become distressed.
