इत्युकत्वा श्रीनिवासश्च कृत्वातामेव वक्षसि । नग्नां चकार शृङ्गारं चुम्बनं चापि कामुकीम्
Having spoken thus, Shri Krishna placed her upon his chest, made her naked, engaged in love, and kissed her passionately.
स सस्मिता च श्रीकृष्णं नवसंगमलज्जिता । चुचुम्ब गण्डे क्रोडे तं चकार कमला यथा
She, smiling, kissed Shri Krishna on his cheek and neck, bashful at their new union, like Lakshmi.
सुरतेर्विरतिर्नास्ति दंपती रतिपण्डितौ । नानाप्रकारसुरतं बभूव तत्र नारद
There is no cessation of love-play for the couple, both skilled in passion; various kinds of amorous play occurred there, O Narada.
स्तनश्रोणियुगं तस्या विक्षतं च चकार ह । भगवान्नखरैस्तीक्ष्णैर्दशनैरधरं वरम्
He made marks upon her breasts and hips; the Lord, with sharp nails and teeth, wounded her lips, the best.
निशावसानसमये वीर्याधानं चकार सः । सुखसंभोगभोगेन मूर्च्छामाप च सुन्दरी
At the end of the night, he performed the act of depositing his seed; through the enjoyment of pleasure, the beautiful woman fell into a swoon.
तत्राऽऽजगामतां तन्द्रा कृष्णवक्षःस्थलस्थिताम् । बुबुधे न दिवारात्रं स्वर्ग मर्त्य जलं स्थलम्
There, sleep came upon her, resting on Krishna's chest; she was unaware of day or night, heaven, earth, water, or land.
सुप्रभाता च रजनी बभूव रजनीपतिः । पत्युर्व्यतिक्रमेणैव लज्जयेव मलीमसः
The night became radiant and beautiful; the lord of the night, as if ashamed by the transgression of her husband, lost her impurity.
अथाजगाम गोलोकाद्रथो रत्नविनिर्मितः । जगाम तेन तं लोकं धृत्वा दिव्यकलेवरम्
Then a chariot made of jewels arrived from Goloka; by it, bearing a divine body, she went to that realm.
वह्निशुद्धां शुकाधानं रत्नभूषणभूषितम् । प्रतप्तकाञ्चनाभासं नित्यं जन्मादिवर्जितम्
Her form, purified by fire, adorned with jewels, shone like refined gold, eternally free from birth and other transformations.
सा बभूव च तत्रैव गोपी चन्द्रमुखी मुने । गोप्यः कतिविधास्तस्या बभूवुः परिचारिकाः
There, O sage, she became a gopi with a moon-like face; many gopis served her as attendants.
भगवानपि तत्रैव क्षणं स्थित्वा स्वमन्दिरम् । जगाम यत्र नन्दश्च सानन्दो नन्दनन्दनः
The Lord, after remaining there for a moment, went to his own abode, where Nanda and the joyful son of Nanda were.
अथ कंसो निशायां च निद्रायां भयविह्वलः । ददर्श दुःखदुःस्वप्नमात्मनो मृत्युसूचकम्
Meanwhile, Kamsa, overwhelmed by fear during the night and sleep, saw a distressing, ominous dream indicating his death.
ददर्श सूर्यं भूमिस्थं चतुःखण्डं नभश्च्युतम् । दशखण्डे चन्द्रबिम्बं भूमिस्थं खाच्च्युतं मुने
He saw the sun fallen to the earth, split into four parts, and the moon's orb fallen to the earth in ten fragments, O sage.
पुरुषान्विकृताकारान्रज्जुहस्तान्दिगम्बरान् । विधवां शूद्रपत्नीं च नग्नां च च्छिन्ननासिकाम्
He saw men with distorted forms, holding ropes, naked, and a widow, a Shudra's wife, naked and with her nose cut off.
हसन्तीं चूर्णतिलकां श्वेतकृष्णोच्चमूर्धजाम् । खड्गखर्परहस्तां च लोलजिह्वां च बिभ्रतीम्
He saw a laughing woman with powdered marks, with white and black hair, holding a sword and skull, and displaying a restless tongue.
रुण्डमालासमायुक्तां गर्दभं महिषं वृषम् । भल्लूकं सूकरं काकं गृध्रं कह्कं च वानरम्
He saw one adorned with a garland of severed heads, along with a donkey, buffalo, bull, bear, boar, crow, vulture, owl, and monkey.
विरजं कुक्कुरं नक्रं शृगालं भस्मपुञ्जकम् । अस्थिराशिं तालफलं केशं कार्पासमुल्बणम्
He saw a dog, crocodile, jackal, heap of ashes, pile of bones, palm fruit, hair, and coarse cotton.
निर्वाणाङ्गारमिल्कां च शवं सर्त्यं चिताश्रितम् । कुलालतैलकाराणां चक्रं वक्रं कपर्दकम्
He saw extinguished charcoal, milk, a corpse placed on a funeral pyre, and the crooked wheel and shell of potters and oil-makers.
श्मशानं दग्धकाष्ठं च शुष्ककाष्ठं कुणं तृणाम् । गच्छन्तं च कबन्धं च नदन्तं मृतमस्तकम्
He saw a cremation ground, burnt wood, dry wood, a heap of grass, a headless trunk moving, and a dead head crying out.
दग्धस्थानं भस्मयुतं तडागं जलवर्जितम् । दग्धमत्स्यं च लोहं च निर्वाणदग्धकाननम्
He saw a burnt place covered in ashes, a pond devoid of water, burnt fish, iron, and a forest scorched and lifeless.
गलत्कुष्ठं च वृषलं नग्नं च सुक्तसूर्धचम् । अतीव रूपटं विप्रं च शपन्तं गुरुमीदृशाम्
He saw a leper, a low-caste man, naked with matted hair, an extremely ugly Brahmin, and a guru being cursed.
अतीवरुष्टं भिक्षुं च योगिनं वैष्णवं नरम् । एवं दृष्ट्वा समुत्थाय कथयामास मातरम्
He saw a very angry beggar, a yogi, a Vaishnava, and a man; having seen all this, he arose and spoke to his mother.
पितरं भ्रातरं पत्नीं रुदतीं प्रेमविह्वलम्
He saw his father, brother, and wife, all weeping and overwhelmed by affection.
मल्लसैन्यं च योद्धारं कारयामास मङ्गलम् । सभां च कारयामास पुण्यं स्वस्त्ययनं शिवम्
He assembled wrestlers and warriors, performed auspicious rites, and arranged a virtuous, blessed assembly.
यत्नेन योजयामास योगे युक्तं पुरोहितम् । उवास मञ्चके रम्ये धृत्वा खड्गं विलक्षणम्
With effort, he seated the priest, who was absorbed in yoga, and had him sit upon a beautiful couch, holding a remarkable sword.
रणे नियोजयामास योद्धारं युद्धकोविदम् । वासयामास राजेन्द्रान्ब्राह्मणांश्च मुनीश्वरान्
He appointed a skilled warrior, expert in battle, for the fight, and accommodated the kings, the foremost of Brahmins, and the great sages.
ब्राह्मणाश्च सुहृद्वर्गान्धर्मिष्ठान्रणकोविदान् । अथाऽऽजगम गोविन्दो रामेण सह नारद
He also honored Brahmins, groups of friends, the most righteous and battle-wise; then Govinda arrived together with Rama and Narada.
महेशस्य धनुर्मध्यं बभञ्ज तत्र लीलया । शब्देन तस्य मथुरा बधिरा च बभूव ह
There, with playful ease, he broke the bow of Mahesha in the middle; by its sound, Mathura itself became deafened.
विषादं प्राप कंसश्च मुदं च देवकीसुतः । उपस्थितः सभामद्धे गजं मल्लं निहत्य च
Kamsa was seized by despair, while the son of Devaki rejoiced; having entered the assembly, he slew the elephant and the wrestler.
यथा हृत्पद्ममध्यस्थं तादृशं बहिरेव च । राजेन्द्ररूपं राजानः शास्तारं दण्डधारिणा म्
Just as he is situated within the heart's lotus, so too did he appear outwardly; the kings saw him as the ruler, the wielder of the rod of punishment.
