With you, King of Vraja, the kings shine among kings, just as a row of stars shines in the sky with the moon.'
With you, O son of Nanda, Yaśodā's beauty shines, just as a row of trees is splendid with branches, fruits, and trunks.'
With you, Lord of Gokula, the beauty of the people of Gokula shines, just as all the realms of the world shine with the presence of a great king.'
Even Rāma's beauty, O Lord of the rāsa, is enchanting with you, just as Amarāvatī shines in heaven with the king of the gods.'
You are the beauty, lord, and refuge of the trees of Vṛndāvana, just as the lion is the strength of other animals and forests.'
Without you, Yaśodā is plunged in an ocean of sorrow, like a cow bereft of her calf, crying out in distress, tormented by Mura's men.
Nanda's life is shaken, his mind scorched, as grain heaped in a heated vessel burns—so is he tormented in your absence.
Having spoken thus, with supreme love, she fell at the feet of Hari; then the Lord instructed her again with spiritual wisdom.
The supreme yogic knowledge, O Nārada, is the means to cut through delusion, just as an axe with a sharp edge fells trees.
Nārada said: O best knower of the Vedas, tell me of that supreme yogic knowledge, the destroyer of sorrow for all beings; I am eager to hear.
Nārāyaṇa said: The supreme yogic knowledge is not known even to the yogis; it has many forms, and Hari himself knows them all.
In Goloka, the Lord of Rādhā, pleased, narrated some of this spiritual wisdom, O sage, just as he once told Tripurāri.
He saw the Lord, the foremost and eldest among the Vaiṣṇavas, the best of ascetics, performing austerities until the fall of a thousand Indras.

Having performed severe austerities at Puṣkara, and the Padma at Padma, the lotus-born beheld him with reverence, and Kṛṣṇa spoke a little to the god.
With a body emaciated by harsh austerities lasting as long as a hundred Indras, motionless, reduced to skin and bones, the ocean of mercy spoke out of compassion.
In ancient times, in the lion's field, the best among the righteous, my father, performed austerities, emaciated, for a period marked by fourteen Indras.
The ocean of mercy recited some spiritual wisdom, and seeing me performing austerities for a period marked by a hundred Indras, he spoke to me.
He spoke a little to Sanatkumāra, who was engaged in long and supreme austerities, and also to Ananta, who was performing great penance, O Nārada.

Śrī Kṛṣṇa said: O one who remembers past births, why do you forget yourself, beloved? All the events of Goloka, and even Sudāmā's curse, you know.
Because of the curse, O noble lady, there will be a brief separation between us for a few days; but soon, our reunion will come again.
Again I will go to Goloka, that my own abode, together with the cowherd women and the cowherds who dwell in Goloka.
Now, I will tell you something of the highest spiritual truth—listen: it is the essence that removes sorrow, brings joy, and gives happiness to the mind.
I am the inner self of all, untouched by all actions; present in all beings, everywhere, yet unseen.
Just as the wind moves everywhere among all things, yet remains untouched, so too am I—the witness of all actions.
The individual soul is my reflection in all living beings; always the experiencer of good and bad, and the doer of actions.
Just as the image of the moon appears in moving water pots, and when they break, the image remains united with the moon, so it is with me.
