नेदुर्दुन्दुभयः स्वर्गे पुष्पवृष्टिर्बभूव ह
The celestial drums did not sound; a shower of flowers occurred in heaven.
तनुं त्वक्वा स जीवश्च विलीनो ब्रह्मविग्रहे
His body, skin, and soul merged into the form of Brahman.
आविर्भावस्तिरोभावः स्वेच्छया नित्यदेहिनाम्
Manifestation and concealment occur at will for those whose bodies are eternal.
सौतिरुवाच मरीचिमिश्रैमुनिभिः सार्द्धं कण्ठाद्बभूव सः

Kālāgnirudra is the destroyer among them, possessing a portion of Śaṃkara.
अन्ये कृष्णस्य च कलास्तावंशौ विष्णुशंकरौ
The others are portions of Kṛṣṇa; Viṣṇu and Śaṃkara are his two chief portions.
उक्तं रुद्रोद्भवे काले कथं विस्मरति द्विज
It is said that Rudra was born in time; how does he forget, O twice-born?
सनकश्च सनंदश्च तृतीयश्च सनातनः
Sanaka, Sanaṃda, and the third, Sanātana—
सनकश्च सनन्दश्च तौ द्वावानन्दवाचकौ
Sanaka and Sananda—these two are signifiers of bliss.
