During your Māgha solstice, she will not return again.
There will be no further worship; she who has departed is gone forever.
After uniting with him, she was once again free from fever.
How have I cursed him, the creator of the world, who is so dear to love?
The very creator of the worlds trembled, his head bowed low.
Saying, 'Seek refuge in Vaikuṇṭha,' they returned to their homes.
There, calm and dark-hued, known as Nārāyaṇa, the beloved of Lakṣmī, was present.
The creator of the worlds stayed there, not far away, but close by.
He is the friend of the distressed, ocean of compassion, cause of deliverance from calamity, whose words are true, essential, beneficial, and bring happiness to the worlds.
Śrī Nārāyaṇa said:
Whatever act you have done here—who has not done the same?
By mocking women alone, there is also mockery of Nature herself.
In the playground of Brahmā's world, who can restrain their senses?
If a woman, overcome by desire, approaches in private, she should not be rejected by one who has mastered his senses.
For she would surely become distressed and, without doubt, would pronounce a curse.
Whether out of greed or desire for pleasure, such a man is base—of this there is no doubt.
And if a woman abandons her own husband and goes to another out of desire,
or by some means makes another man her own,
the mistress of her own self, by family duty, always attains heaven.
I will devise that means by which the one who is cursed becomes purified.
At that very moment, someone arrived before Hari.
The gatekeeper said: 'A great devotee stands at the door, having come himself to see you.'
Hearing the words of the gatekeeper, he then granted permission.
With exceedingly wondrous hymns, unheard even by the Four-Faced One—ah!
Nārāyaṇa then spoke to the four-armed gatekeepers.
Meanwhile, there in the delight of Vṛndāvana—
She praised him with divine hymns, most secret and exceedingly beautiful.
Immediately after that, before the devotee, the hundred-mouthed one himself—
The lord of another universe, Brahmā, came before Hari.
He praised him with excellent hymns, unheard by all—ah!
