गोपीभिः सह जग्मुश्च मायाः श्रीकृष्णरूपिकाः
The goddesses, taking the form of Śrī Kṛṣṇa's māyā, departed together with the gopīs.
जलं ददौ राधिकायै सकामो माधवः स्वयम्
Mādhava himself, with desire, gave water to Rādhikā.
वस्त्रं जग्राह तस्याश्च सा च नग्ना बभूव ह
He took her garment, and she became naked.
सिन्दूरपक्षकं लुप्तं वेषं च जलताडनैः
Her vermilion and hair ornament were washed away, and her attire was ruined by the splashing water.
तां च नग्नां समाश्लिष्य निममज्ज जले हरिः
Hari embraced her as she was naked and submerged with her in the water.
तां च नग्नां दर्शयित्वा गोपिकां क्रीडया नताम्
Showing her nakedness, he played with the bowed gopī.
सा वेगेन समुत्थाय बलाज्जग्राह माधवम्
She quickly rose up and forcefully seized Mādhava.
गृहीत्वा पीतवसनं तं चकार दिगम्बरम्
Taking his yellow garment, she made him unclothed.
हरिं पुनः समाकृष्य प्रेषयामास पाथसि 4.28.
She again pulled Hari and sent him into the water.
उत्थाय माधवः शीघ्रं तां गृहीत्वा प्रहस्य च एवं ता मूर्तयः सर्वा गोपीभिः सह कौतुकात्
Mādhava swiftly rose, seized her, and laughed; thus, all those forms, together with the gopīs, delighted in play.
तीरं गत्वा तया सार्धं हरिर्नग्नश्च मग्नया
Hari, naked and with her who was submerged, went to the shore together.
राधिकायै ददौ वस्त्रं रम्यां मालां च माधवः
Mādhava gave Rādhikā a garment and a beautiful garland.
चन्दनागुरुकस्तूरीं सर्वाङ्गे कुङ्कुमान्विताम्
He applied sandalwood, aloe, musk, and saffron all over her body.
निर्माय चूडां ललितां कामिनीं चित्तमोहिनीम्
He fashioned a charming and alluring hair ornament that captivated her heart.
श्रीकृष्णो राधिकायाश्च कबरीं सुमनोहराम्
Śrī Krishna adorned Rādhikā's hair, which was exceedingly beautiful.
ददौ ललाटे सिन्दूरं कस्तूरीबिन्दुभिः सह
He applied vermilion to her forehead, together with spots of musk.
नखाङ्गं स्तनयोरूर्वोरुरस्येव घनं मुदा
With joy, he marked her breasts, thighs, and chest with his fingernails.
चन्दनागुरुकस्तूरीकुङ्कुमानां द्रवेण सः 4.28.
He used the liquid essence of sandalwood, aguru, musk, and saffron.
पुनराश्लेषणं कृत्वा ददौ मालां गले पुनः
Again embracing her, he placed a garland around her neck.
अलक्तकं चरणयोर्नखेषु च ददौ पुनः
He applied red dye to her feet and also to her nails once more.
पुनः प्रजग्मुस्ता मत्ताः सुन्दरं रासमण्डलम्
Then those intoxicated ones again joyfully sang in the beautiful circle of the rāsa dance.
माधवीकेतकीकुन्दमालतीनां मनोहरैः
With the enchanting flowers of mādhavī, ketakī, kunda, and mālatī,
दृष्ट्वा च स्फुटितं पुष्पं चयनं कर्तुमीश्वरी
Seeing the fully blossomed flowers, the goddess prepared to gather them.
काश्चिन्नियोजयामास मालानिर्माणकर्मणि
She assigned some to the task of making garlands.
माला चन्दनताम्बूलं गोपीदत्तं च सुन्दरी
The beautiful one received garlands, sandalwood, and betel from the gopīs.
काश्चिन्नियोजनं चक्रुः कृष्णसङ्गीतकर्मणि
Some were engaged in the work of singing for Krishna.
एवं रासे रतिं कृत्वा लीलया हरिणा सह
Thus, in the rāsa, delighting in love with Hari in play,
पुष्पोद्यानेषु रम्येषु सरसां च तटेषु च 4.28.
In the lovely flower gardens and on the banks of the lakes,
अतीव निर्जनस्थाने श्मशाने गिरिगह्वरे
In very secluded places, in cremation grounds, and in mountain caves,
भाण्डीरे श्रीवने रम्ये कदम्बकानने तथा
In Bhāṇḍīra, in the beautiful Śrīvana, and likewise in the kadamba groves,
