इति ब्रह्मवैवर्त्ते ब्रह्मकृतं श्रीकृष्णस्तोत्रम् आविर्बभूव तत्पश्चाद्वक्षसः परमात्मनः
Thus, in the Brahmavaivarta, the hymn to Śrī Kṛṣṇa composed by Brahmā appeared thereafter from the chest of the Supreme Soul.
सर्वसाक्षी च सर्वज्ञः सर्वेषां सर्वकर्मणाम्
He is the witness of all, the all-knower, of all beings and of all actions.
धर्मज्ञानयुतो धर्मो धर्मिष्ठो धर्मदो भवेत्
Endowed with knowledge of dharma, he is dharma itself, established in righteousness, and bestower of dharma.
श्रीकृष्णपुरतः स्थित्वा प्रणम्य दण्डवद्भुवि
Standing before Śrī Kṛṣṇa, having bowed down flat upon the ground,
श्रीधर्म उवाच कृष्णं विष्णुं वासुदेवं परमात्मानमीश्वरम्
Śrī Dharma said: Kṛṣṇa, Viṣṇu, Vāsudeva, Supreme Soul, Lord,
गोपेश्वरं च गोपीशं गोपं गोरक्षकं विभुम्
Lord of the cowherds, Lord of the gopīs, protector of cows, the mighty one,
गोगोपगोपीमध्यस्थं प्रधानं पुरुषोत्तमम्
Situated among cows, cowherds, and gopīs, the foremost, the Supreme Person,
इत्युच्चार्य्य समुत्तिष्ठन्रत्नसिंहासने वरे
Having thus spoken, rising up from the excellent jeweled throne,
चतुर्विशतिनामानि धर्मवक्त्रोद्गतानि च
The twenty-four names, uttered from the mouth of Dharma,
मृत्युकाले हरेर्नाम तस्य साध्यं लभेद् धुवम् 1.3.
At the time of death, the name of Hari surely grants the desired goal.
नित्यं धर्मस्तं घटते नाधर्मे तद्रतिर्भवेत्
Dharma always adheres to him; he has no attachment to unrighteousness.
तं दृष्ट्वा सर्वपापानि पलायन्ते भयेन च
Upon seeing him, all sins flee away in fear.
इति ब्रह्मवैवर्त्ते धर्मकृतं श्रीकृष्णस्तोत्रम् आविर्बभूव कन्यैका धर्मस्य वामपार्श्वतः
Thus, in the Brahmavaivarta, after the hymn to Śrī Kṛṣṇa composed by Dharma, a maiden appeared at the left side of Dharma.
आविर्बभूव तत्पश्चान्मुखतः परमात्मनः
Thereafter, she appeared from the front of the Supreme Soul.
कोटिपूर्णेन्दुशोभा ढ्या शरत्पङ्कजलोचना
Her radiance equals ten million full moons, and her eyes are like lotuses blossoming in autumn.
सस्मिता सुदती श्यामा सुन्दरीणां च सुन्दरी
She smiles sweetly, has beautiful teeth, is dark-complexioned, and is the most beautiful among all beauties.
वागधिष्ठातृदेवी सा कवीनामिष्टदेवता
She is the goddess who presides over speech and is the cherished deity of poets.
गोविन्दपुरतः स्थित्वा जगौ प्रथमतः सुखम्
Standing before Govinda, she first sang joyfully.
कृतानि यानि कर्माणि कल्पेकल्पे युगेयुगे
She sang of the deeds performed in every kalpa and every age.
सरस्वत्युवाच रत्नसिंहासनस्थं च रत्नभूषणभूषितम् ।। 1.3.
Sarasvati said: Seated upon a jeweled throne and adorned with jeweled ornaments,
रासेश्वरं रासकरं वरं रासेश्वरीश्वरम्
He is the Lord of the Rasa dance, the performer of the Rasa, the supreme Lord of the Queen of the Rasa.
रासायासपरिश्रान्तं रासरासविहारिणम्
Exhausted from the exertion of the Rasa dance, he delights in the pleasures of the Rasa.
प्रणम्य च तमित्युक्त्वा प्रहृष्टवदना सती
Having bowed to him and spoken thus, she, with a delighted face, remained.
इति वाणीकृतं स्तोत्रं प्रातरुत्थाय यः पठेत
Whoever recites this hymn composed by Vani upon rising in the morning,
इति ब्रह्मवैवर्ते सरस्वतीकृतं श्रीकृष्णस्तोत्रम् आविर्बभूव मनसः कृष्णस्य परमात्मनः
Thus, in the Brahmavaivarta Purana, the hymn to Shri Krishna composed by Sarasvati appeared from the mind of Krishna, the Supreme Soul.
पीतवस्त्रपरीधाना सस्मिता नवयौवना स्वर्गे च स्वर्गलक्ष्मीश्च राजलक्ष्मीश्च राजसु
Clad in yellow garments, smiling, ever youthful, she is the fortune of heaven among the gods and the royal fortune among kings.
सा हरेः पुरतः स्थित्वा परमात्मानमीश्वरम्
She stood before Hari, the Supreme Soul, the Lord.
महालक्ष्मीरुवाच सत्याधारं च सत्यज्ञं सत्यमूलं नमाम्यहम्
Mahalakshmi said: I bow to the one who is the foundation of truth, the knower of truth, and whose root is truth.
इत्युक्त्वा श्रीहरिं नत्वा सा चोवास सुखासने
Having spoken thus and bowed to Shri Hari, she sat upon a comfortable seat.
आविर्बभूव तत्पश्चाद् बुद्धेश्च परमात्मनः 1.3.
After that, she appeared from the mind of the Supreme Soul.
