Go and speak to your mistress, Rādhikā.
Otherwise, I will not give your garments back to you.
What can that goddess, whom you worship with vows, do for me?
Hearing Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s words, all the cowherd maidens,
Went and made their petition, and Hari himself spoke.
Hearing their words, she became thrilled, her body bristling with joy.
Sitting in yogic posture in the water, she meditated upon Krishna's lotus feet.
Remembering again and again those lotus feet, her eyes filled with tears.
O friend of the distressed, Lord of the afflicted, Lord of all—salutations to you.
O Lord of the cowherds, Lord of the herds, increaser of Yashoda's joy,
Breaker of Indra’s pride, destroyer of Brahma’s arrogance,
Lord of Shiva, Lord of Ananta, Lord of Brahma, supreme among the supreme,
Seed of the moving and unmoving, beyond qualities, yet the essence of qualities,
Lord of the perfections such as aṇimā, embodiment of perfection itself,
That which is indescribable, and that which can be described—both are yours.
I am Sarasvati, Lakshmi, Durga, Ganga, born of the Vedas.
By whose touch, and by whose meditation day and night, the servants—
Having spoken thus, that goddess, placing her body in the water—
Whoever recites, at the three junctions of the day, this hymn to Hari composed by Radha—
Whoever recites it with devotion in adversity will immediately attain prosperity.
His wealth will increase, and his mind will become supremely content.
In distress caused by separation from husband, son, or friend—
If a maiden listens with devotion to this hymn for a year—
Thus, in the Brahmavaivarta Purana, in the Krishna Janma section, having praised Krishna with the hymn composed by Radha, opening her eyes, she beheld the world pervaded by Krishna.
O sage, he saw on the bank of the Yamunā garments and various items.
At that place, on that support, whatever objects had previously been placed.
All those women, having risen from the water, performed the vow as they had intended.
Nārada said: What items are to be given, and what is the proper offering there?
At the conclusion of the vow, what was the delightful secret that occurred?
Sūta said: The guru of the foremost sages began to narrate the story.
