Taking the Brahmāstra, he remembered Śrī Hari, who was asleep.
With this hymn, making Durgā into a cowherdess, he offered praise.
The hymn composed by the cowherd maidens bears the name 'all-auspicious'.
Whoever recites it daily at the three junctions of the day, with devotion, O mortal,
At the royal gate, in the cremation ground, in a forest fire, or in peril of life,
When seized by enemies, in battle, in prison, or beset by misfortune,
When deprived of position, wealth, caste, or afflicted by sorrow,
By merely remembering the hymn, one is instantly freed, without fear.
In this world, one attains firm devotion to Hari and constant remembrance.
Thus, in the Brahmavaivarta, the all-auspicious hymn composed by the cowherd maidens was offered with supreme devotion by the women of Vraja for a month.
And so, when the month was completed, on the day of conclusion,
Various kinds of offerings and jewels of great value, O Nārada,
Countless items were brought to the riverbank, making the shore splendid.
With many kinds of offerings, fruits produced according to time and place,
The cowherd girls, eager for play, became joyful in the water.
Seeing the garments and various items, Kṛṣṇa,
The cowherd boys went far off and all stood, filled with delight.
Śrīdāmā, Sudāmā, Vasudāmā likewise,
Candrabhānu, Vīrabhāna, and Sūryabhāna as well.
Śrī Kṛṣṇa, Baladeva, and fourteen principal ones.
They all took their garments and stood together at a distance.
Taking some clothing, they joyfully made a bundle.
Śrī Kṛṣṇa said: Having performed the procedure as I instructed, play here, inspired by love.
In the month prescribed for the vow, during the auspicious rite,
One should wear garments and flower garlands appropriate for the vow.
But if one bathes naked during the vow, Varuṇa himself becomes angry.
How will you go, being naked? The vow will not bear fruit.
Be anxious about this, and worship the revered goddess whom Bali pleased.
How can that goddess of the gods be able to grant the fruit of the vow?
Hearing Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s words, the women of Vraja became anxious.
