इत्येवमुक्त्वा श्रीकृष्णस्तस्थौ तल्पे मनोरमे
Having spoken thus, Śrī Kṛṣṇa remained upon the delightful couch.
राधिकोवाच यत्त्वं वदसि सर्वाहं त्वत्पादाब्जप्रसादतः
Rādhikā said: Whatever you declare, all of it is by the grace of your lotus feet.
ईश्वरस्याप्रियाः केचित्प्रियाश्च कुत्र केचन
For the Lord, some are not dear and some are dear—where is this so?
तृणं च पर्वतं कर्तु समर्थः पर्वतं तृणम् 4.15.
He is able to make a blade of grass into a mountain, and a mountain into a blade of grass.
तिष्ठत्यहं शयानस्त्वं कथाभिर्यत्क्षणं गतम्
I remain lying here while you, through stories, have passed the time.
वक्षःस्थले च शिरसि देहि ते चरणाम्बुजम्
Place your lotus feet upon my chest and upon my head.
पुरः पपात मे दृष्टिस्त्वदीयचरणाम्बुजे
My gaze has fallen before your lotus feet.
प्रत्येकमङ्गं दृष्ट्वैव दत्ता शान्ते मुखाम्बुजे
Having seen each of your limbs, I have offered myself to the peaceful lotus of your face.
राधिकावचनं श्रुत्वा जहास पुरुषोत्तमः
Hearing Rādhikā’s words, the Supreme Person smiled.
श्रीकृष्ण उवाच तिष्ठ भद्रे क्षणं भद्रं करिष्यामि तव प्रिये
Śrī Kṛṣṇa said: Remain, O blessed one, for a moment; I will do what is auspicious for you, my beloved.
त्वन्मनोरथपूर्णस्य स्वयं कालः समागतः
The time has come to fulfill your cherished desire.
तदेव खण्डितुं राधे क्षमो नाहं च को विधिः
But, O Rādhe, I am not able to undo that; what destiny can do so?
मालाकमण्डलुकर ईषत्स्मेरचतुर्मुखः 4.15.
With a garland and water-pot in hand, the four-faced one smiled gently.
साश्रुनेत्रपुलकितो भक्तिनम्रात्मकन्धरः
His eyes were filled with tears, his body thrilled, and his head bowed in devotion.
पुनर्नत्वा प्रभुं भक्त्या जगाम राधिकान्तिकम्
Again, having bowed to the Lord with devotion, he approached the side of Rādhā.
चकार संभ्रमेणैव जटाजालेन वेष्टितम्
With reverence, he wrapped himself with his matted locks.
यथागमं प्रतुष्टाव पुटाञ्जलियुतः पुनः ब्रह्मोवाच हे मातस्त्वत्पदाम्भोजं दृष्टं कृष्णप्रसादतः
According to tradition, he praised again, with folded hands; Brahmā said: 'O Mother, your lotus feet have been seen by me through Kṛṣṇa's grace.'
सुदुर्लभं च सर्वेषां भारते च विशेषतः
They are exceedingly rare for all, especially in Bhārata.
भास्करे पुष्करे तीर्थे कृष्णस्य परमात्मनः
At Bhāskara and Puṣkara, the holy places of Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Self.
वरं वृणीष्वेत्युक्ते च स्वाभीष्टं च वृतं मुदा
When he said, 'Choose a boon,' I joyfully chose my desired wish.
हे गुणातीत मे शीघ्रमधुनैव प्रदर्शय
'O transcendent of qualities, show me quickly, right now.'
दर्शयिष्यामि काले च वत्सेदानीं क्षमेति च
'I will show you in time; now, wait, child.'
सर्वेषां वाञ्छितं मातर्गोलोके भारतेऽधुना 4.15.
O Mother, what is desired by all in Goloka and Bhārata is now.
त्वं कृष्णाङ्गार्धसंभूता तुल्या कृष्णेन सर्वतः
You were born from half the body of Kṛṣṇa, equal to Kṛṣṇa in every way.
नहि वेदेषु मे दृष्ट इति केन निरूपितम्
I have not seen this in the Vedas; by whom has it been established?
वैकुण्ठश्चाप्यजन्यश्च त्वमजन्या तथाम्बिके
Vaikuṇṭha is unborn, and you, O Mother, are also unborn.
तथा शक्तिस्वरूपा त्वं तेषु सर्वेषु संस्थिता
Thus, you are the embodiment of power, abiding in all those.
आत्मना देहरूपा त्वमस्याधारस्त्वमेव हि
By your own self, you are the form of the body; you alone are its support.
किमहो निर्मितः केन हेतुना शिल्पकारिणा
How, indeed, and by what cause, and by which creator, have you been fashioned?
अस्यांशा त्वं त्वदंशो वाऽप्ययं केन निरूपितः
Are you a part of this, or is this a part of you? By whom has this been determined?
