युक्तं मङ्गलकुम्भैश्च फलपल्लवसंयुतैः
Adorned with auspicious pots filled with fruits and leaves.
माल्यानां वरवस्त्राणां राशिभिश्च विराजितम्
Resplendent with heaps of garlands and fine cloths.
फलानां जलकुम्भानां समूहैश्च समन्वितम्
And furnished with groups of fruits and water pots.
ढक्कानां दुन्दुभीनां च पटहानां तथैव च
With the sounds of drums, kettledrums, and likewise, large drums.
वंशीसन्नहनीकांस्यशरयन्त्रैश्च शब्दितम्
Resounding with flutes, cymbals, and stringed instruments.
गंधर्वनायकानां च संगीतैर्मूर्च्छनायुतैः
And with the music of Gandharva leaders, accompanied by melodies.
एतस्मिन्नन्तरे नन्दमुवाच वाचको मुदा
Meanwhile, the speaker joyfully addressed Nanda.
अश्वस्थाश्च गजस्थाश्च रथस्थाश्चेति सत्वरम् 4.13.
Those mounted on horses, elephants, and chariots quickly arrived.
आगतो गिरिभानुश्च सस्त्रीकश्च सकिङ्करः
Giribhanu also came, accompanied by his wife and attendants.
तुरङ्गमाणां कोटिश्च शिबिकानां तथैव च
There were tens of millions of horses and likewise palanquins.
बन्दिनां भिक्षुकाणां च समूहैश्च समीपतः
Groups of bards and mendicants gathered nearby.
पश्यागत्य बहिर्भूयेत्युवाच प्राङ्गणे स्थितः
Standing in the courtyard, he said, 'Look, they have arrived outside.'
प्राङ्गणे वासयामास पूजयामास सत्वरम् पाद्यादिकं च तेभ्यश्च प्रददौ सुसमाहितः
He accommodated them in the courtyard and swiftly honored them, attentively offering water for their feet and other gifts.
वस्तुभिर्बन्धुभिः पूर्णं बभूव नन्दगोकुलम्
Nanda's Gokula became filled with goods and relatives.
त्रिमुहूर्तं कुबेरश्च श्रीकृष्णप्रीतये मुदा
For three muhurtas, Kubera joyfully acted for the pleasure of Shri Krishna.
कौतुकापह्नवं चक्रुर्बन्धुवर्गाश्च क्रीडया
The groups of relatives playfully performed the ceremonial concealment.
नन्दः कृताह्निकः पूतो धृत्वा धौते च वाससी
Nanda, purified and having completed his daily rites, put on freshly washed garments.
उवास पादौ प्रक्षाल्य स्वर्णपीठे मनोहरे 4.13.
He sat, after washing his feet, upon a beautiful golden seat.
गर्गवाक्यानुसारेण बालकस्य मुदाऽन्वितः
With joy, he followed the words of Garga regarding the child.
सघृतं भोजयित्वा च कृत्वा नाम जगत्पतेः
After feeding the child with ghee and giving the name of the Lord of the world,
नानाविधानि स्वर्णानि धनानि विविधानि च
He gave various kinds of gold and diverse wealth.
बन्दिभ्यो भिक्षुकेभ्यश्च सुवर्णं विपुलं ददौ
He bestowed abundant gold upon the bards and mendicants.
ब्राह्मणान्बन्धुवर्गांश्च भिक्षुकांश्च विशेषतः
He especially gave to the Brahmins, relatives, and mendicants.
दीयतां दीयतां चैव खाद्यतां खाद्यतामिति
He said, 'Let it be given, let it be given; let it be eaten, let it be eaten.'
रत्नानि परिपूर्णानि वासांसि भूषणानि च
He provided gems in abundance, along with garments and ornaments.
चारूणि स्वर्णपात्राणि कृतानि विश्वकर्मणा
Beautiful golden vessels, crafted by Viśvakarman, were also given.
शिष्येभ्यः स्वर्णभाराणि प्रददौ विनयान्वितः 4.13.
With humility, he gave his disciples heaps of gold.
श्रीनारायण उवाच तुष्टाव परया भक्त्या प्रणम्य च तमीश्वरम्
Śrī Nārāyaṇa said: He praised that Lord with supreme devotion, bowing before Him.
साश्रुनेत्रः सपुलको भक्तिनम्रात्मकन्धरः
His eyes filled with tears, his body thrilled, and his head bowed in devotion.
गर्ग उवाच प्रसन्नो भव मामीश देहि दास्यं पदाम्बुजे
Garga said: Be gracious to me, Lord; grant me service at Your lotus feet.
