मंगलं मंगलानां च मंगलं मंगलप्रदम्
The most auspicious among all that is auspicious, the source of all auspiciousness.
स्थितं सर्वत्र निर्लिप्तमात्मरूपं परात्परम्
Established everywhere, untouched, of the nature of the Self, supreme beyond the supreme.
सगुणं निर्गुणं ब्रह्म ज्योतीरूपं सनातनम्
Brahman with qualities and without qualities, of the form of light, eternal.
तमनिर्वचनीयं च व्यक्तमव्यक्तमेककम्
That which cannot be described, manifest and unmanifest, one without a second.
गुणत्रयविभागाय रूपत्रयधरं परम्
The supreme, bearing the threefold forms for the division of the three qualities.
सर्वाधारं सर्वरूपं सर्वबीजमबीजकम्
The support of all, of all forms, the seed of all, yet without seed.
लक्ष्यं षङ्गुणरूपं च वर्णनीयं विचक्षणैः 4.5.
The object to be known, of sixfold qualities, to be described by the wise.
अशरीरं विग्रहवदिंद्रियं यदतींद्रियम्
Bodiless, yet appearing as if with form and senses, that which is beyond the senses.
गमनार्हमपादं यदचक्षुः सर्वदर्शनम्
Worthy of movement, yet without feet; without eyes, yet seeing all.
वेदे निरूपितं वस्तु सन्तः शक्ताश्च वर्णितुम्
The reality described in the Vedas, which the virtuous and the powerful are able to express.
सर्वेशं यदनीशं यत्सर्वादि यदनादि यत्
That which is the Lord of all, yet not subject to any lord; the origin of all, yet without origin.
अहं विधाता जगतो वेदानां जनकः स्वयम्
I am the creator of the world, the very progenitor of the Vedas.
सेवया तव धर्मोऽयं पालने च निरूपितः
By your service, this dharma has been established in protection.
निःशेषोत्पत्तिकर्त्ताऽहं त्वत्पादांभोजसेवया १०७ ब्रह्मांडे बिंबसदृशे भूत्वा विषयिणो वयम्
I am the maker of all creation; by service to your lotus feet, we become enjoyers, taking forms like reflections in the cosmic egg.
यथा न संख्या रेणूनां तथा तेषामणीयसाम्
Just as the number of dust particles cannot be counted, so too are the smallest among them.
एकैकलोमविवरे ब्रह्मांडमेकमेककम् 4.5.
In each and every pore, there is a single cosmic egg.
ध्यायंते योगिनः सर्वे तवैतद्रूपमीप्सितम्
All yogis meditate upon this desired form of yours.
किशोरं सुंदरतरं यक्षं कमनीयकम्
A youth, most beautiful, a Yaksha, enchanting.
नवीनजलदश्यामपीतांबरधरं वरम्
Clad in yellow garments, with a complexion dark as a fresh raincloud, most excellent.
मयूरपिच्छचूडं च मालतीजालमंडितम्
Adorned with a peacock feather crown and garlanded with jasmine flowers.
अमूल्यरत्नसाराणां सारभूषणभूषितम्
Decorated with ornaments made from the essence of priceless jewels.
शरत्प्रफुल्लपद्मानां प्रभामोष्यास्यचंद्रकम्
With a crescent-shaped mark on the mouth, radiant like the glow of autumn-blooming lotuses.
पक्वदाडिमबीजाभदंतपंक्तिमनोहरम्
With a row of teeth charming as ripe pomegranate seeds.
गोपीवक्त्रस्मिततनुं राधावक्षःस्थलस्थितम्
With a smile on the face like the gopīs, resting upon the chest of Rādhā.
इत्येवमुक्त्वा विश्वसृट् प्रणनाम पुनः पुनः
Having spoken thus, the creator of the worlds bowed again and again.
ननाम भूयोभूयश्च साश्रुपूर्णविलोचनः 4.5.
He bowed repeatedly, his eyes filled with tears.
व्याप्तास्तत्राश्रमे सर्वे श्रीकृष्णतेजसा मुने
O sage, all in that hermitage were pervaded by the radiance of Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
पूजाकाले हरेरेवं भक्तियुक्तश्च यः पठेत्
Whoever recites this with devotion at the time of worship of Hari—
सुरासुरमुनींद्राणां दुर्लभं दास्यमेव च
—obtains the service which is rare even for the chief gods, demons, and sages.
इहैव विष्णुतुल्यश्च विख्यातः पूजितो धुवम्
Even here, he becomes renowned and worshipped, equal to Viṣṇu, certainly.
