एवं द्वारत्रयं दृष्ट्वा स्वप्ना ज्ञानाद्भुताश्रुतम्
Having seen these three gates, wondrous and unheard of even in dream or knowledge,
तास्ताः संभाष्य देवास्ते विस्मिता ययुरीश्वराः
After speaking with them, the astonished gods departed, O lord.
सर्वासां च प्रधानं च गोप्यं गोपांगनागणैः
Among all of them, the chief gopī was surrounded by groups of gopī maidens.
तेषामनिर्वचनीयैर्नानागुणसमन्वितैः
They were endowed with countless, indescribable virtues.
रत्नकंकणकेयूरत्ननूपुरभूषितैः
Adorned with jeweled bracelets, armlets, and anklets.
रत्नकुंडलयुग्मेन गंडस्थलविराजितैः
With pairs of jeweled earrings shining on their cheeks.
शरत्पार्वणपद्मानां प्रभां मुष्णन्मुखेंदुभिः
With faces radiant like autumn full-moon lotuses, outshining their brilliance.
पक्वबिंबाधरोष्ठैश्च स्मेराननसरोरुहैः 4.5.
With smiling lotus-like faces and lips red as ripe bimba fruit.
चारुचंपकवर्णाभिर्मध्यस्थलकृशैर्मुने
With complexions lovely as champaka flowers, and slender waists, O sage.
खगेंद्रचारुचंचूनां शोभामुष्णाभिरेव च
With beautiful beaks like the king of birds, radiating splendor.
पीनश्रोणिभरार्तैश्च मुकुंदपदमानसैः
With hips full and heavy, like blooming mukunda and lotus flowers.
लसद्रमणिरत्नैश्च वेदिकायुग्मशोभितम्
With pairs of platforms adorned with shining gems of love.
सिंदूराकारमणिभिर्मध्यस्थलविराजितैः
With waists adorned by gems the color of vermilion.
तत्संस्पर्शैर्गंधवाहैः सर्वत्र सुरभीकृतम्
Everywhere made fragrant by the touch and scent of those gems.
श्रीकृष्णचरणांभोजदर्शनैकमनोरथाः
Their only wish was to behold the lotus feet of Shri Krishna.
भक्त्युद्रेकादश्रुपूर्णाः किंचिन्नम्रात्मकंधराः
Overflowing with devotion, their necks slightly bowed, their eyes filled with tears.
मंदिराणां च मध्यस्थं चतुःशालं मनोहरम्
In the midst of the mansions stood a charming four-halled pavilion.
नानारत्नमणिस्तंभैर्वज्रयुक्तैश्च भूषितम् 4.5.
Adorned with various jeweled pillars set with diamonds.
मुक्तासमूहैर्माणिक्यैः श्वेतचामरदर्पणैः
With clusters of pearls, rubies, white yak-tail fans, and mirrors.
पट्टसूत्रग्रंथियुक्तश्रीखंडपल्लवान्वितैः
Furnished with sandalwood leaves, tied with silk threads and cords.
चंदनागुरुकस्तूरीकुंकुमद्रवसंयुतम्
Anointed with sandal, aguru, musk, and saffron essence.
पर्णदूर्वाक्षतैर्लाजैर्निर्मंछनविभूषितैः
Decorated with leaves, sacred grass, rice grains, and parched paddy for auspiciousness.
पारिजातप्रसूनानां मालायुक्तैर्विराजितम्
Adorned with garlands made of pārijāta blossoms.
सर्वानिर्वचनीयं च यद्द्रव्यमनिरूपितम्
And filled with all manner of indescribable and unidentifiable substances.
पारिजातप्रसूनानां मालाजालैः सुशोभितम्
Beautifully decorated with clusters of garlands of pārijāta flowers.
कोटिशो रत्नकुंभाश्च रत्नपात्राणि नारद
There were millions of jewel-encrusted pitchers and vessels, O Nārada.
नानाप्रकारवाद्यानां कलनादैर्निनादितम्
Resounding with the melodies of various kinds of musical instruments.
मोहितं वाद्यशब्दैश्च मृदंगानां च नारद ।।4.5.
Enchanted by the sounds of instruments and the music of mṛdaṅgas, O Nārada.
राधासखीनां गोपीनां वृंदैर्वृंदैर्विराजितम्
Radiant with groups upon groups of Rādhā's companions and gopīs.
एवमभ्यंतरं दृष्ट्वा बभूवुर्विस्मिताः सुराः।। । शुश्रुवुर्मधुरं गीतं ददृशुर्नृत्यमुत्तमम्
Seeing the interior thus, the gods were amazed; they heard sweet singing and saw excellent dancing.
