O beautiful Tulasī, Brahmā blessed you, saying that for a long time you would remain with this handsome man. Yet, he assured you that afterwards, you would once more attain Govinda in Goloka, your highest destination. Having bestowed his blessing, Brahmā returned to his own celestial abode. At that moment, the heavens resounded with the beat of celestial drums, and a shower of divine flowers rained down, celebrating the auspicious union. Overwhelmed, Tulasī, newly united with her husband, fell into a swoon. Together, they delighted in sixty-four kinds of pleasure, each measured by the sixty-four arts. Their embraces, both of limbs and sub-limbs, were charming and enchanting, especially to women. In an exceedingly delightful place, devoid of all other creatures, they found themselves in a flower garden on the riverbank, adorned with blossoms and sandalwood, a setting fit for divine enjoyment. Adorned with every ornament, Tulasī shone with exceptional beauty and enchantment. Playfully and with virtue, she captivated her husband’s mind, sporting with sandalwood on his chest and applying tilaka to his arms. In joy, he left the marks of her nails upon his chest, tokens of their intimacy. When their loving play had ceased, they arose together. Tulasī then gave him a tilaka made from sandalwood mixed with saffron, offered him fragrant betel, and garments purified by fire. She presented him with an excellent ring of priceless jewels. Again and again, she spoke, “I am your servant,” smiling as she drank in his lotus-like face with her eyes, full of affection. He, in turn, drew her close, placing his beloved upon his chest. He kissed her firmly on the cheek and again on her bimba-like lips, then adorned her with a garland of jewels renowned throughout the three worlds. He gifted her a pair of anklets and also what had once belonged to Svāhā. He gave her jeweled rings and the finest ornament of Rati. Splendid, decorated seats and a rare, exquisite bed were arranged for her comfort. He adorned her abundant hair with garlands, decorating it with three crescent-shaped ornaments and fragrant sandalwood paste. He applied a blazing vermilion mark upon her forehead, shaped like a lamp, and joyfully colored her nails with bright red dye. Again and again, he declared, “O goddess, I am your servant.” Leaving behind the forest of austerities, he led her to another royal abode. In every delightful place and secluded flower garden, on the auspicious riverbank where the air was still and enchanting, they continued their union. In springtime, filled with the sweet sounds of bees, in divine gardens, forests, and sandalwood groves, in jasmine, mālatī, and lotus flower groves, in a secluded golden place atop the blessed golden mountain, on a bed of flowers and sandalwood amidst the calls of male cuckoos, the lover, driven by desire, enjoyed his beloved Rāma. With offerings, the path of Krishna flourished, and passion ever grew between them. Creating delightful places for play, he again enjoyed himself there, their love blossoming in every sacred and enchanting setting.
