O Child, by your playful acts, you have witnessed the fall of countless Brahmās. In due course, you shall rise in glory and splendor, becoming my equal. There is none dearer to me than you; indeed, you are even beyond my own self. All beings are bound to the thread of time, cooked in its fire, for as long as the sun and moon endure. You must uphold my words, for they are never spoken in vain. You will fulfill both my command and your own promise. Without doubt, you shall experience great happiness and delight. In the course of time, you will become a householder, then an ascetic, and finally a yogin—one who acts according to his own will. Know this: a wicked woman brings suffering to her husband, not a devoted wife. Out of affection, a devoted wife cares for her husband as she would for a worthy son, regardless of whether he has fallen or not, whether he is wretched or a lord among men. Those who constantly criticize their husbands are destined to be enjoyed by others, but a virtuous wife delights with her husband in Goloka for ten million aeons. By my command, you shall take such a virtuous woman as your wife, for the sake of prosperity. One who worships a thousand holy places with devotion, offering the five sacred items, enjoys happiness in Goloka for a crore of aeons together with me. There is no departure from Goloka for such a one; he remains equal to us. Moreover, one who makes a liṅga and worships it even once dwells in heaven for ten thousand aeons. A wise, liberated, and virtuous person attains this through worship of the Śiva liṅga; even a sinner who dies there reaches the realm of Śiva. Those who constantly utter 'Mahādeva, Mahādeva, Mahādeva,' and those who pronounce the name 'Śiva' at the end of life, are blessed. The auspicious speech of Śiva is itself auspicious and bestows liberation. For those immersed in sorrow from the loss of wealth and relatives, the name of Śiva destroys sin and grants liberation to children and servants as well. Whoever’s speech continually utters the name 'Śiva' is truly blessed. Having spoken thus to the wielder of the trident, Krishna gave the wish-fulfilling mantra. The Blessed Lord said: In due course, you will worship Śiva, the giver and abode of all auspiciousness. When you appear amidst the radiance of all the gods, O beautiful-faced one, in a special aeon—the Satya Yuga, when truth prevails—then, abandoning your body due to the reproach of the lord of sacrifice, you will enjoy a thousand divine years together with Śambhu. At that time, when all the worlds are worshipped in great ceremonies, in villages and cities, the village deity shall be honored. By my command, with various tantras composed by Shiva, there will be great ones who are your attendants alone. And those who worship you, O Mother, in the holy land of Bharata, shall be greatly blessed. Having spoken thus, he gave her the eleven-syllabled mantra. With proper method, he performed meditation for her, out of compassion for the devotees. He bestowed upon her the power suitable for creation, granting all perfections and wish-fulfillment. Finally, the Lord of the universe gave him the thirteen-syllabled mantra.
