By that nourishment, the seven suns become inflamed.
Then, the flaming ones burn all this fourfold world.
The seven radiant ones blaze forth, empowered by the fire at the end of the age.
Enveloping themselves, they remain, scorching the earth.
The earth, along with its mountains, rivers, and oceans, became devoid of moisture.
Below, above, and across, it was blocked by the rays of the sun.
Of those that had become one, a single flame indeed arises.
With its radiance, it swiftly burns up all these four worlds.
The earth becomes without trees and grass, level like the back of a tortoise.
All of it, filled with those flames, blazes intensely like a solid mass.
Then those things dissolve and return to the state of earth.
That Fire, the soul of all, turned everything into ashes.
The blazing fire, resting upon the earth, drinks up the waters.
That fierce, blazing fire of dissolution consumes the worlds.
After burning up, it scorches Pātāla and then the realm of wind.
Thousands, ten-thousands, and hundreds of millions of leagues,
The Gandharvas, Piśācas, as well as the great serpents and Rākṣasas,
The world of earth, the world above, the heaven, and also the great world,
When these worlds are pervaded across and above by fire,
Then, indeed, everything appears like a mass of iron.
Then, in the sky, the terrible clouds of dissolution arise.
Some are like beryl in appearance, others resemble blue sapphires.
Some clouds are smoky in color, some are yellow, and some are rain-bearing.
Others resemble the hue of cinnabar, and some are like pigeons in appearance, as are the rain-clouds.
Some clouds rise in the sky, resembling the feathers of a heron.
Some clouds are like mountains, and some resemble stretches of land.
They take on many forms, some are terrifying in shape, and they resound with dreadful voices.
Then those clouds, roaring fearfully, are born from the Sun.
Then those clouds release rain, pouring down like a great flood.
And thus, as the rain falls abundantly, the world is filled with water.
