पौलस्त्यो ऽप्रतिमश्चापि नाभागश्चैव काश्यपः

Paulastya, Apratima, Nābhāga, and Kāśyapa as well—

सुक्षेत्रश्चोत्तमौजाश्च भूरिसेनश्च वीर्यवान्

Sukṣetra, Uttamaujā, and Bhūrisena, who are mighty in valor.

भूरिद्युम्नः सुवर्चाश्च दशैतेमानवाः स्मृताः

Bhūridyumna and Suvarcā; these ten are known as the Mānavas.

निर्वाणरतयो देवाः कामगा वै मनोजवाः

The gods who delight in liberation, who move according to desire, and are swift as thought.

एकैकस्त्रिंशतस्तेषां गणस्तु त्रिदिवौकसाम्

Each group of these celestial beings consists of thirty, dwelling in heaven.

निर्वाणरतयो देवा रात्रयस्तु विहङ्गमाः

The gods who delight in liberation are called the birds of the night.

मनोजवा मूरूर्त्तास्तु इति देवाः प्रकीर्तिताः

Those swift as thought and of mysterious form are thus proclaimed as gods.

तेषामिद्रो वृषा नाम भविष्यः सुरराट् ततः

Among them, Indra named Vṛṣā will become the king of the gods.

हविष्मान्काश्यपश्चापि वपुष्मांश्चैव भार्गवः

Haviṣmān, Kāśyapa, and Vapuṣmān, the Bhārgava.

पुष्टिराङ्गिरसो ज्ञेयः पौलस्त्यो निश्चरस्तथा

Puṣṭi, known as Āṅgiras, and Paulastya, also Niścara.

सर्ववेगः सुधर्मा च देवानीकः पुरोवहः

Sarvavega, Sudharmā, Devānīka, and Purovaha.

सावर्णस्य तु ते पुत्राः प्राजापत्यस्य वै नव

These are the nine sons of Sāvarṇa, the offspring of Prajāpati.

चतुर्थो रुद्रसावर्णो देवांस्तस्यान्तरे शृणु

The fourth is Rudrasāvarṇa; listen to the gods belonging to him.

हरिता रोहिताश्चैव देवाः सुमनसस्तथा

Haritā, Rohitā, and also Sumānasa are the gods.

पर्वतो ऽनु चरश्चैव अपाशुश्च मनोजवः

Parvata, Anucara, Apāśu, and Manojava.

तपो ज्ञानी मृतिश्चैव वर्चा बन्धुश्च यः स्मृतः

Tapo, Jñānī, Mṛti, Varcā, and Bandhu are those who are remembered.

पुष्टिर्विधिश्च वै देवा दशैते रोहिताः स्मृताः

Puṣṭi and Vidhi are also gods; these ten are known as the Rohitās.

ते वै सुमनसो वेद्यान्निबोधत सुकर्मणः

Those are the Sumānasa, who are to be known; listen to their virtuous deeds.

विक्रमश्च क्रमश्चैव विभृतः कान्त एव च

Vikrama, Krama, Vibhṛta, and Kānta.

वर्षो दिव्यस्तथाञ्जिष्ठो वर्चस्वी द्युतिमान्कविः

Varṣa, Divya, Añjiṣṭha, Varcasvin, Dyutimān, and Kavi.

सुतारा नामतस्त्वेते देवा वै संप्रकीर्तिताः

These gods are indeed called Sutārā by name.

द्युतिर्वसिष्ठपुत्रस्तु आत्रेयः सुतपास्तथा

Dyuti is the son of Vasiṣṭha, Ātreya, and also Sutapā.

तपोधनश्च पौलस्त्यः पौलहश्च तपोरतिः

Tapodhana is of the Paulastya lineage, Paulaha and Taporati as well.

एते सप्तर्षयः सिद्धा अन्त्ये सावर्णिकेंऽतरे

These are the seven accomplished sages at the end of the Sāvarṇika Manvantara.

मित्रवान् मित्रसेनो ऽथ चित्रसेनो ह्यमित्रहा

Mitravān, Mitrasena, then Citrasena, and Amitrahā.

त्रयोदशेतु पर्याये भाव्ये रौच्येन्तरे पुनः

In the thirteenth cycle, again in the period of Raucya, they will be.

ब्रह्मणो मानसाः पुत्रास्ते हि सर्वे महात्मनः

All these are the mind-born sons of the great-souled Brahmā.

त्रिदशानां गणाः प्रोक्ता भविष्याः सोमपायिनाम्

The groups of gods who will drink Soma have been described.

आज्येन पृषदाज्येन ग्रहश्रेष्टेन चैव ह

With clarified butter, with mixed butter, and with the foremost of libations.
