Aurva addressed the king with gentle and soft-spoken words.
Do you protect all your subjects according to righteousness?
Indeed, virtues bear fruit for you, being properly encouraged by you.
By good fortune, your entire kingdom is protected by you with righteousness.
What does righteousness protect, if not the one who protects it himself?
You have reached your city with your strength and wife established.
Surely, such people are happy both here and hereafter.
O king, having arrived with your wives, tell me your purpose.
With hands joined in reverence, he spoke sweet words to him.
Thus, in the glorious Brahmanda Mahapurana, spoken by Vayu, in the middle section, in the third introductory division, the fifty-fifth chapter is named 'The Arrival of Sagara at Aurva's Hermitage'.
O best of the Bhargavas, you who are ever contemplated by me, bring me peace.
How then could I be powerless in subduing all my enemies?
Truly, apart from you and my father, I know no other.
By remembering you, that power born of your austerity is attained.
There is no doubt that you are indeed able to create and destroy.
Even a single portion of that here is seen to be astonishing.
O Brahmin, in your hermitage, the deer drinks water slowly, without fear.
The antelope scratches its cheek with the tip of its horn.
The tigress, dwelling in the place of your austerity, nourishes even those cubs.
Entering together, following each other, out of fear of you they remain in one place.
Wolves, boars, tigers, sarabhas, bears, and monkeys—
In this forest, abandoning their natural enmity, have come to friendship.
Nowhere else on earth, O Brahmin, is such a marvel seen apart from you.
O sage among the twice-born, I have attained sovereignty together with my enemies.
By the path you instructed, I have rightly protected the kingdom.
O foremost of the Bhṛgus, a desire to see you has arisen in me, with longing.
Along with offering the ancestral cake, I have protected the earth.
I have come to you, thinking, 'Let no one else take this world from me.'
The venerable Aurva spoke these words with his command.
You will attain your desired goal; there is no doubt about this.
