झङ्कारिणी च संज्ञा च टङ्कहस्ता ततः परम्
Jhaṅkāriṇī, Saṃjñā, and then Ṭaṅkahastā thereafter.
डङ्कारी टङ्कारिणी च णामिनी तामसी तथा
Ḍaṅkārī, Ṭaṅkāriṇī, Nāminī, and likewise Tāmasī.
फट्कारिणी च विज्ञेयाः शक्तयो द्वयपन्नगाः
Phaṭkāriṇī is to be known, and the powers are twofold serpents.
रमा च लामिनी चेति षडेताः शक्तयः क्रमात्
Ramā and Lāminī—these six powers in order.
चतस्रो ऽपि तथैव द्वे हाकिनी च क्षमा तथा
Four likewise, then two, Hākinī and Kṣamā as well.
दक्षा दिवामपादान्तं राशीन्मेषादिकान्न्यसेत्
Dakṣā, at the end of the day’s foot, should place the signs beginning with Aries.
वाराणसी कामरूपं नेपालं पौण्ड्रवर्धनम्
Vārāṇasī, Kāmarūpa, Nepāla, Pauṇḍravardhana.
आम्रातकेश्वरैकाम्रं त्रिस्रोतः कामकोष्ठकम्
Āmrātakeśvara, Ekāmra, Trisrota, Kāmakoṣṭhaka.
श्रीपीठं चैकवीरां च जालन्ध्रं मालवं तथा
Śrīpīṭha, Ekavīrā, Jālandhra, and Mālava likewise.
अट्टहासं च विरजं राजवेश्म महापथम्
Aṭṭahāsa, Viraja, Rājaveśma, and Mahāpatha.
उज्ज्यिन्यपि चित्रा च क्षीरकं हस्तिनापुरम्
Ujjayinī, Citrā, Kṣīraka, and Hastināpura.
गौरीशं सलयं चैव श्रीशैलं मरुमेव च
Gaurīśa, Salaya, Śrīśaila, and also Maru.
स्याद्धिरण्यपुरं पश्चान्महालक्ष्मीपुरं तथा
Then there shall be the city of Hiranyapura, and likewise the great city of Mahalakshmi.
लिपिक्रमसमायुक्तांल्लिपिस्थानेषु विन्यसेत्
He should place the letters, arranged in sequence, in their respective positions.
षोढा न्यासो मयाख्यातः साक्षादीश्वरभाषितः
The sixfold placement has been declared by me, as spoken directly by the Lord.
ततः षोढा पुरः कृत्वा श्रीचक्रन्यासमाचरेत्
After establishing the sixfold cities, one should perform the placement of the Shri Chakra.
चक्रेश्वरीं चक्रसमर्पणमन्त्रान्हृदि न्यसेत्
He should place in the heart the mantras for offering the Chakra to the presiding goddess of the Chakra.
दक्षिणोरुसमं वामं सर्वांश्च क्रमशो न्यसेत्
He should successively place the right and left thighs equally, and all the limbs in order.
आदाविन्द्रादयो न्यस्याः पदाङ्गुष्ठद्वयाग्रके
First, Indra and the others should be placed at the tips of both big toes.
मूलाधारे ऽणिमादीनां सिद्धीनां दशकं ततः
Then, in the Muladhara, the ten powers beginning with Anima should be placed.
दोर्देशपृष्ठयोर्मूर्धपादद्वितययोः क्रमात्
In sequence, on the backs of the arms, on the head, and on both feet.
इच्छासिद्धी रससिद्धिर्मोक्षसिद्धिरिति स्मृताः
The powers known as Icchasiddhi, Rasasiddhi, and Mokshasiddhi are remembered.
पादाङ्गुष्ठयुगे दक्षपार्श्वे मूर्द्धनि वामतः
At the pair of big toes, on the right side, on the head, and on the left.
वामजनौ दक्षजानौ दक्षवामांसयोस्तथा
On the left knee, on the right knee, and likewise on the right and left thighs.
अमृताकर्षिणी प्रोक्ता शरीराकर्षणी तथा
She is called Amritakarshini, and likewise Sharirakarshini.
सर्वार्थसाधिनी शक्तिस्सर्वाशापूरिणी तथा
The power that accomplishes all aims, and likewise fulfills all desires.
वामा विनोदिनी विद्या वशिता कामिकी मता
Vama, Vinodini, Vidya, Vashita, and Kamiki are considered.
प्रदर्श्य मुद्रां योन्याख्यां सर्वानन्दमनुं जपेत्
Displaying the gesture known as Yoni Mudra, one should recite the mantra of universal bliss.
इत्यात्मनस्तु चक्रस्य चक्रदेवी भविष्यति
Thus, the presiding goddess of the Chakra will become the very self of the Chakra.
