रमाकान्तो रमोपास्यो रममाणो निशाचरः सर्वज्ञानमयी देवी सर्वव्याधिविनाशिनी
The beloved of Rama, worshipped by Rama, delighting, nocturnal; the goddess composed of all knowledge, destroyer of all diseases.
नन्दी सुरोत्तमाढ्यो नन्दनो नन्दयिता पुनः विज्ञेया दशमी चैव सर्वेप्सितफलप्रदा
Nandi, endowed with the best of gods, Nandana, again the one who brings joy; the tenth is to be known, the bestower of all desired fruits.
कलहप्रियया युक्तस्तथा रतिसखः पुनः प्राग्वामाद्याश्च विन्यस्य पक्षिण्याद्यास्ततः सुधीः
Joined with one fond of quarrel, and again the friend of pleasure; after placing the eastern and left ones, then the bird ones, O wise one.
नीली जडिल्यो भ्रमणः क्रमशः पालिनीपतिः
Nili, Jadilya, the wanderer, in order, the protector and lord.
भ्रामको रमया प्राप्तो भ्रामितो भृङ्ग इष्यते कौलिनीति समुक्तानि तासां नामानि सूरिभिः
The one who causes to wander, attained by delight, the one who is made to wander, the bee is desired; the names of these, called Kaulini, are declared by the wise.
भ्रमावहं समन्वेति मोहनस्तु रतिप्रियाम् हृदि त्रिकोणं संभाव्य दिक्षु प्रागादितः क्रमात्
The one who brings wandering is united, and the one who deludes is fond of pleasure; considering the triangle in the heart, in the directions, beginning from the east, in order.
विकटेशो मोहधरो वर्धनोयं धरायुतः न्यसेदग्न्यादिकोणेषु मध्ये पीठचतुष्टयम्
Vikatesha, bearer of delusion, the increaser, accompanied by the earth; place them in the fire and other corners, and in the middle, the four seats.
मादकोह्लादिनीयुक्तः समिच्छन्विश्वतोमुखी कामेश्वरी तथा नित्या नित्या च भगमालिनी
Endowed with intoxication and delight, desiring, facing in all directions; likewise Kameshvari, eternal, and eternally Bhagamalini.
गणको ऽनामया ज्ञेयः काल्या नर्तक इष्यते वह्निवासिनिका नित्या महावज्रेश्वरी तथा
The astrologer is to be known as Anāmaya; Kālyā is considered the dancer; Vahnivāsinikā is always present; likewise, Mahāvajreśvarī.
नर्तकः श्यामलाकान्तो विलासी झषयान्वितः कुलसुन्दरिका नित्या कुल्या नित्या ततः परम्
The dancer is Śyāmalākānta, playful, accompanied by Jhaṣa; Kulasundarikā is always present, and Kulyā is always there thereafter.
ध्यानपूर्वं ततः श्रीकण्ठादिविन्यासमाचरेत् ततस्तु मङ्गला चैव नित्यपूर्वा प्रचक्ष्यते
After meditation, one should perform the arrangement beginning with Śrīkaṇṭha; then Maṅgalā, preceded by Nitya, is to be mentioned.
पाशद्वयाक्षवलयेष्टदहस्तमेव स्मृत्वा न्यसेल्लिपिपदेषु समीहितार्थम् एतास्त्रिकोणान्तरेण पादतो हृदि विन्यसेत्
Having remembered the two nooses, the rosary, and the desired gesture of the hand, one should place them in the prescribed positions for the intended purpose; these should be placed within the triangle, from the foot to the heart.
उर्वीशोभारभूतिश्चातिथीशः स्थाणुको हरः तन्मध्ये विन्यसेद्देवीमखण्डजगदात्मिकाम्
Urvīśobhā, Rabhūti, Ātithīśa, Sthāṇuka, and Hara; in their midst, one should place the goddess, the indivisible essence of the universe.
अक्रूरश्च महासेनः स्युरेते वरमूर्त्तयः
Akrūra and Mahāsena—these are the excellent forms.
तथैकरुद्रकूर्मैकनेत्राः सचतुरातनाः
Likewise, those with one Rudra, one Tortoise, one Eye, and four bodies.
अर्धनारीश्वरश्चोमाकान्तश्चापाढ्यदण्डिनौ
Ardhanārīśvara and Umākānta, those with bows and staffs.
खड्गदण्डद्विदण्डौ च सुमहाकालव्या लिनौ
Those with sword, staff, double staff, and those associated with the great Kāla.
श्वेतो ह्यभ्रश्च लकुलीशिवः संवर्त्तकस्तथा
Śveta, Abhra, Lakulīśiva, and Saṃvarttaka likewise.
लोलाक्षी वर्तुलाक्षी च दीर्घङ्घोणा तथैव च
Lolākṣī, Vartulākṣī, and Dīrghaṅghoṇā as well.
कुञ्जरी चौर्ध्वकेशा च द्विमुखी विकृतानना
Kuñjarī, Urdhvakeśā, Dvimukhī, and Vikṛtānanā.
महाकाली सरस्वत्यौ सर्वसिद्धिसमन्विते
Mahākālī and Sarasvatī, endowed with all accomplishments.
लंबोदरी भूतमता द्राविणी नागरी तथा
Laṃbodarī, Bhūtamatā, Drāviṇī, and Nāgarī likewise.
कोटरा पूतना भद्रा काली योगिन्य एव च
Koṭarā, Pūtanā, Bhadrā, Kālī, and the Yoginīs as well.
कपर्दिनी तथा वज्रा जया च सुमुखेश्वरी
Kapardinī, Vajrā, Jayā, and Sumukheśvarī.
रक्षावधारिणी चान्या तथा च सहजाह्वया
Another is Rakṣāvadhāriṇī, and likewise Sahajāhvayā.
द्विरुक्तवालाया वर्णै रङ्गं कृत्वाथ केवलैः
Having made the stage with the colors of Dviruktavālā, and then with only the pure ones.
विघ्नेशादींस्तु तत्रादौ विन्यसेद्ध्यानपूर्वकम्
First, one should install the forms beginning with Vighnesha, preceded by meditation.
पाशाङ्कुशवराभीतिहस्ताञ्छक्तिसमन्वितान्
Those who hold the noose, goad, boon, and fearlessness in their hands, endowed with shakti.
विघ्नकृद्विघ्नहन्ता च विघ्नराढ्गणनायकः
The remover of obstacles, the destroyer of obstacles, the king of obstacles, and the leader of the hosts.
कपर्दवान्दीर्घमुखः शङ्कुकर्णो वृषध्वजः
Kaparda, Vandīrghamukha, Shankukarṇa, and Vrishadhvaja.
