सूक्ष्मविज्ञानरूपायैदृ
To her who is of the nature of subtle knowledge, salutations.
यद्ध्यानैकपरा नित्यं तस्यैदृ
To her for whom constant, single-pointed meditation is directed, salutations.
साम्राज्यसंपदीशायै तस्यैदृ
To her who is the sovereign of imperial fortune, salutations.
स्मितं चराचरं विश्वं तस्यैदृ
To her whose smile is the moving and unmoving universe, salutations.
धत्ते सर्वजनाधारां तस्यैदृ
To her who upholds all beings, salutations.
ज्ञानशक्तिस्वरूपायै तस्यैदृ
To her who is the very form of the power of knowledge, salutations.
यन्मयं मुनयः प्राहुस्तस्यैदृ
To her whom the sages declare to be the essence of all, salutations.
यदुन्मेषविभेदाः स्युस्तस्यैदृ
To her from whom all differentiations of manifestation arise, salutations.
या विराजति चिद्रूपा तस्यैदृ
To her who shines forth as consciousness itself, salutations.
श्रीविद्येति स्मृता वा तु तस्यैदृ
To her who is remembered as Śrīvidyā, salutations.
तत्तन्नियमयूपायै तस्यै देव्यै नमोनमः
To that Goddess who is the foundation of all regulations, repeated salutations.
तत्त्वोपदेशरूपायै तस्यैदृ
To her who is the embodiment of the teaching of truth, salutations.
तत्तद्रूपेण या भाति तस्यैदृ
To her who shines forth in every form, salutations.
विश्वोत्तीर्णेति चाख्याता तस्यैदृ
To her who is called the transcendent of the universe, salutations.
भूयोभूयो नमस्कृत्य सहसा शरणं गतः
Having bowed again and again, he suddenly took refuge.
वरदा सर्वलोकानां वृणीष्व वरमित्यशात्
She, the granter of boons to all worlds, said, 'Choose a boon.'
तथापि प्रार्थये किञ्चिल्लोकानुग्रहकाम्यया
Nevertheless, desiring the welfare of the worlds, I ask for something.
तेषामनुग्रहार्थाय नित्यं कुर्वत्र संनिधिम्
For the sake of their welfare, may you always be present here.
अथ धाता पुनस्तस्या देव्या वासमकल्पयत्
Then the Creator again arranged a dwelling for that goddess.
तत्सांनिध्यं सदा काञ्च्यां प्रार्थयामास चादृतः
With great reverence, he always desired her presence in Kāñcī.
अथ तुष्टो जगद्धाता पुनः प्राह महेश्वरीम्
Then, pleased, the Creator of the universe again spoke to the great goddess.
अथ श्रीत्रिपुरादक्षभागात्कामेश्वरः परः
Then, from the portion of Śrī Tripurā, the supreme Kāmeśvara appeared.
आविरासीन्महादेवः साक्षाच्छृङ्गारनायकः
The great god, the very Lord of Love, manifested there in person.
काचिद्बाला प्रादुरासीन्महागौरा महोज्ज्वला
A certain maiden appeared, exceedingly fair and radiant with great brilliance.
अथ श्रीपुण्डरीकाक्षो ब्रह्मणा सह सादरम्
Then the illustrious lotus-eyed one, together with Brahmā, approached with devotion.
आखण्डलादयो देवा वसुरुद्रादिदेवताः
The gods beginning with Ākhaṇḍala, and the deities such as the Vasus and Rudras,
योगीन्द्राः सनकाद्याश्च नारदाद्याः सुरर्षयः
The great yogis beginning with Sanaka, and the divine sages like Nārada,
यक्षकिन्नर गन्धर्वसिद्धविद्याधरोरगाः
Yakṣas, Kinnaras, Gandharvas, Siddhas, Vidyādharas, and Nāgas,
या यास्तु देवताः प्रोक्तास्ताः सर्वाः परमेश्वरीम्
All those deities who have been mentioned, they all approached the supreme goddess.
मनसा निर्मितं धात्रा मध्ये नगरमद्भुतम्
In the midst, the Creator fashioned a wondrous city by his mind.
